Red being the colour of danger, of violence, of anger, of sin and of immortality. But also, red being the colour of love and desire and sacrifice. Red being the hero’s cape, the very thing which marks him as the hero.

Green being the colour of safety, of harmony, of growth, of peace and of rebirth. But also, green being the colour of villains and flickering lights in a dark alleyway and acid. Green, even though it often represents nature, too bright, becomes poison.

There were two jumpers for him under the Christmas tree this year. The one from Molly was thick and soft and pristine, as always. The other was curled at the edges, the seams bunched up. The golden H jagged in the center.

“I asked Mrs. Weasley,” Draco flushed furiously, “to teach me. I know it’s not perfect. I just wanted to—”

Draco had twisted his hands together, his fingers red and swelling. Harry had thought it was because of potions. Gently, he pried the fingers apart and held them in his own. Squeezed, a tender, aching warmth in his chest.

“I love it,” he said. Leaned in and kissed the taut, nervous mouth, felt it melt under his. Softly, his voice thickening, “I love it.”

It just occurred to me that Tom Riddle would have loved being a priest in some American backwater village where everyone goes to church and believes everything their priest says.

He would've had the most power in town, being the most respected, and they would all tell him their secrets of their own free will during confession. He'd get so much blackmail material on everyone and get his fill of gossip every week.

No one would touch him expect for a handshake here and there and perhaps a clasp on his shoulder during some sort of official function, despite people fawning after him left right and center.

They wouldn't even question when he exercises power over every field of their lives, 'cause that's just what a priest does, right?

He even could drive to another town, kill someone there to sate his urges and wouldn't even have to lift a finger for people to fall over themselves to tell the cops that 'No, of course our dear Father Riddle cannot be the culprit, why I just saw him tending to his flowers during that time' and 'Father Riddle? Couldn't hurt a fly, he couldn't, I've seen him helping old Marge with her roof' etc.

He would've loved it, I'm convinced.

i thought it’d be cool to show my process because this took DAYS. to finish. DAYSSSS. i have been practicing a lot though, and i think im getting better with limb proportions. YAY! i still have a lot to work on (like colors) but this is progress!

Ginny Weasley (and the ship Hinny) deserved so much. I’m not saying she’s well written, actually the opposite.

But if people can see glimmers of nuance in characters near one dimensional characters such as Regulus black and Draco Malfoy why not Ginny.

For nearly a whole year she was groomed and possessed and nearly died at the hands of Voldemort. Her guilt and evident trauma form the situation. From a timid shy, traumatised girl athe confident girl. Sometimes the happens enritely off page which is annoying. We do get hints but a lot of Ginny’s development is just telling us about her change instead of showing us.

And Hinny by all means might not work.

They’re both stubborn, emotionally reserved, and shaped by trauma. Ginny, like Harry, isn’t weepy, and rarely cry, she doesn’t wear her emotions on her sleeve. But also understands him the most (For example, in order of the phoenix, he confides her that he wants to talk to Sirius, something h assumes wouldn’t be well received by Ron and Hermione and she doesn’t push but instead helps him find a solution.)

Harry is undeniably happiest with her. He choose her over Ron (something he didn’t need to do as Ron accepted them but A lot of people fixate on the fact that she was a fangirl and ignore anything from OOTP & HBP. She was a piece of goodness in a world that demanded sacrifice. She was his last thought before he surrendered to Voldemort.

So yes, maybe their relationship would have hiccups but don’t all relationships. That’s what makes it real. It’s not about perfection, it’s about choosing each other despite the wreckage the world provides.

These somber illustrations, while visually stunning, also capture the most important part of the Harry Potter saga. While the movies certainly attempted to grasp the darkness of the stories, many scenes and details were lightened, presumably to retain a PG-13 rating for younger audiences. But these sketches bring back the sinister, macabre imagery of the books, and in doing so, highlight the best part of the series — forcing readers to grapple with serious, real-world moral and political issues in the context of the fantastic.

I think Harry was definitely tall as hell to have so many girls giggling and blushing after him. He must've been really attractive. If James and Lily were attractive, then Harry must be gorgeous since he has a mix of their features.

This is not coming from a lord potter harem fan like that one anon asked.

Harry is the type of person to brood away in his classes and still have girls and boys looking his way every now and then.

Harry doesn't show his emotions to just anyone. Readers know what he's feeling better because we have a look into it. To the other characters, he appears in a cool and collected way.

Harry is the best quidditch seeker Hogwarts had ever seen. He battles mysterious entities and they are not disclosed to the general student body.

He is handsome, fanciable and popular.

The students of hogwarts don't know the real Harry unless they take an effort to get to know him. Even then, Harry doesn't just lament his woes to anyone who listens. He omits the stuff he considers to be bad when he talks deeming his emotional turmoil as unnecessary when talking to his bestfriends even. It took a long time for him to simply initiate a hug.

Harry went through so much shit and dealt with grief and anger all on his. Later on he had voldemort's mind in his own and had to keep with the random bursts of rage and constant headaches.

Harry is such an amazing character and any hate is unwarranted.
