I’ve been playing Hades II again

Based on this dialogue (spoilers)

I think aspect of pan and Poseidon on the special is... A little busted, add in chain lightning and the one infusion boon from Zeus that sets minimum damage to 50 and it's a fucking shredder

Even more shredding if you get the duo for chain lightning bouncing off you, and the support fire (idk if it's still called that in Hades 2, it's the arrow on attack and special boon)

And Demeter cast does a lot with that infusion

The infusion is busted, but Poseidon on aspect of pan special is strong with or without the infusion, especially if you do what I tend to do and force my main damage boon to become heroic with a maxed out narcissus' trinket

it breaks my heart how zagreus' journey is akin to the torture of sisyphus. he thinks he is just a breath away from his mother. Tartarus, then Asphodel, Elysium, The Temple, his Father. And that's it. His hill. His neverending hill of being pushed to the bottom, to the very same place where he started.

He is swallowed, spat out. He is soaked with the river waters that wash him ashore, and continously runs and runs. Getting farther, and yet, losing everything in the process. He has to run to reach Thanatos for a myriad of a second, fight and stand the worst of poisons, stabs, piercing arrows, sweltering heat to get to his mother.

And then, he is dragged down. To a point where he measures how much time he can have, so he can start anew. Like Sisyphus, (within the context of the game, that is), he accepted his own hill. Travelling far for just a few seconds to gaze at the sky; at the sun, before everything is taken away.

Neverending cycles of rebirth, he dies and he lives, O' God of Life, God of Blood, may your feet be light, may your weapons be sharp, and may your hopes be never washed away. May you always come back, and represent that life, continues. Always, forever. May your time upon your hill be longer, and your travel up, shorter.

May the imprints of your feet stay on the surface, to never be forgotten. Because life was there. And he will come back. Again, and again.

Second time making it to Typhon was a win

And I got athena so I could finally fucking give her a nectar and get the boon list feature

So I've definitely held the belief that the Olympus path is harder than the Chronos path, and I maintain that, because what in the fuck is that Typhon fight

Apparently got him to his last (non vow of rivals) phase on my first attempt tho

Still, absurd, like holy shit

Those patterns are gonna be hell to learn

We go a month between DND sessions because of an emergency on our friends part, then when we get to do a session last night same friend is late, we get through one roleplay scene where it's implied that my wifes character hooks up with the npc they've been crushing on for months now

Then my cat hurts herself and the session grinds basically to a halt because I couldn't keep going even after checking on the kitty

On top of all that it was hot as balls because of the fuckass heatwave in the US and the poor insulation of our kitchen where we normally play

So I have reached Chronos, and very quickly died to him, but in my defense, I had been "blessed" by strife because it was my first time to that level on the save, and I'm rusty at that fight most specifically

really cool how "trans women are welcome to be lesbians as long as they don't have any opinions on how tme lesbians treat trans women" is like the default "progressive" opinion on the subject

Idk if they cause less issues in single player but in the realm with my wife and kid the fucking lag spiked and didn't really go back to stable after we got a happy ghast at spawn, and then I later moved it out of render distance from spawn and I still have to test when playing with them but I didn't get any lag when away from it while playing solo in the realm

I love the happy ghasts but they're so fucking laggy to have around, what the hell

I think I need to go back to Hades 2 now that the hidden aspects are a thing, though I'll probably start over because it feels wrong jumping into a late save with so much changed since I played last

I played quite a bit of the first Hades, I think I stopped really close to the post game Olympian dinner scene, or maybe right after it, I must say Hades 2 feels more balanced than the original though, in Hades one it's really easy to get busted combos, and that hasn't been my experience in 2

The fucking Labyrinth is cursed I swear, it just loves to have you be one unit short for another stage

And I'll probably drop below 5% before the rewards so gold medal instead of platinum and 4 dark eyes instead of 5 if so, not the end of the world but the extra dark eye would be nice
