Nauka rysowania i malowania - co polecam i co pomaga

Co jakiś czas ktoś mnie pyta “hej, jak stać się lepszym w malowaniu / rysowaniu?” ‘Prawdziwa’ odpowiedź na to pytanie zajęłaby dobre pół godziny, więc najczęściej rzucam jakieś dobrze znane “robić dużo, pracować więcej, codziennie, i będzie”. Ilekroć jednak to mówię, zdaje sobie sprawę, że więcej w tym szkody niż porady. Zawsze można pracować więcej i… robić te same błędy, kultywować złe nawyki i nie uczyć się absolutnie nic a nic nowego. W tym tekście postaram się wypunktować jak ja staram się unikać takiego kręcenia się w kółko, a co faktycznie pomogło i pomaga mi w nauce.

So, today I realized what is the selection and hiding of polygons in Zbrush, how to designate polygroups, a very interesting topic and useful. I also try to draw something in Photoshop, but it does not have any ideas come to mind, and just stupidly sat and someone else was drawing illustration. And now it's time for me to leave the library, because soon it is closed and I still have to catch time in the social center for an evening dinner.

So Hi again!

So happy, to start blogging here, i fell so energized and positive last days.

Also start learning Zbrush and colorkey, I will spread my progress and growth in drawing and sculpting here, and I will also be able to describe my homeless everyday life.

What did I do today to get closer to my goal?

I began to study the construction of the image, form, or silhouette as they say in the people. From the course of Fundathion, I realized that from the three main figures you can create countless numbers of characters, giving them a certain form, you can indicate whether it will look aggressive or vice versa kind or confident. All this is actually read by the psyche and is already deciphered by us as good or evil. And then I began to understand why some of the robots who tried to draw menacing, in fact look pretty funny and not aggressive, it's all about the shape)) and it's very cool actually, when you understand it. I tried to repeat there by the lesson and something happened, of course, the stroller))

Just Do it

So I was resigned to being Talentless, but that didn’t mean I couldn’t also be completely pissed off about it. Oh, I was. It felt like unfair punishment meted out by the damned universe itself. Turns out, the feeling of being treated unfairly is so common that we have a name for it: indignance. Feeling indignant is a powerful thing; it has precipitated the most massive social movements and galvanized some of the most influential artists throughout history. It’s also the weapon I used to slay Stigma. My indignity surrounding my unTalented lot in life made me refuse to just lay down and take it. Instead, I declared war. War, not against Tim or anyone else, but against my own artistic lack. I fought ruthlessly by continuing to draw against all odds, sure that at some point I’d stumble upon whatever secret it was that people like Tim were just gifted with. It sounds like self-belief, but it wasn’t. I was in this situation because I didn’t believe in myself. What this was, for want of a more righteous word, was stubbornness. I stayed this way for years. And I was willing to sacrifice for it. I didn’t go to parties or school dances, I didn’t exercise, I put off dating. Year after year, I scarcely surfaced from my room. I wore a hole in the carpet where my drawing desk was. You’ve probably heard the saying about the definition of insanity being attempting the same thing and expecting a different result? It’s a lie. Because after a long time of doing just that, something miraculous happened: I actually started to get pretty good at drawing and painting. Something else happened too: by having proven to myself I could learn, I’d killed Stigma. And borne from the elements of its smoking ashes was that magical little thing I didn’t have before: self-belief.

Russia vs The West

According to recent survey conducted in Russia, approximately 75% of population consider western countries to be the natural enemies of Russia. That includes USA, Europe and Great Britain. 

Obviously the guys who conducted  they had to base there conclusion on a smaller sample of population. They couldn’t just ask every single Russian citizen. After all there 140 million of those, plus millions of illegal immigrants from smaller Asian countries. But I personally would like to take a good look at that sample. Because as a kid growing up in Soviet Union I was never aware of strong antagonism between The West and The Soviet block. Cold War came to my attention way after it was already over. People in Russia usually don’t just walk around hating America or reflecting on the situation 24/7.

To the contrary. All the other kids at school were fascinated with Disney, computer games and Coca Cola. And when the first McDolnald’s opened up near Red Square, the line of people waiting to get their hand on a Big Mac and some fires circled around the block several times. 

I don’t know what went wrong since then, but apparently some brain-washing by the state media might be involved. Or some fancy rigging of social surveys in a pathetic attempt to rich some vaguely impractical but no less diabolical goal. A daring plan that would make Doctor Evil proud. 

On the other hand, there are true metamorphosis too. When I was a kid I worked as a freelance reviewer for Russian video game magazine. It was late 90s and all my colleges were in their teens. One of those kids though has grown up and is now sitting in Russian parliament, while posting pictures of his Kalashnikov machine guns online. So we lost some of them. The survey might not be that far off after all.
