listen I ended up regretting saying anything about this on my old blog because people will interpret literally any and every statement maliciously on this hellsite but I want to start like. a helpline for people who are like “hey I pretty much only read YA but I’m like 22 now and don’t relate to teenagers as much, it’s such a shame that there are no fun books written for adults :(” because boy HOWDY are there some fun books for adults
nile went “i’ve only had these old dudes for a day and a half, but if anything happened to them i would kill everyone in this room and then myself” and then she killed everyone in the room and then herself
BRAVE was so good, NONE of you appreciated merida enough she was SO STRONG, the soundtrack was RIVETING and the message was heartfelt, you all just chose to ignore her cause she’s the PIXAR PRINCESS
If you are like me and always need to be working on something to keep your anxiety under control, during this quarentine why not helping scientists by looking at pictures of some neat penguins? or even galaxies?
There’s this site call Zooniverse, where you can help on scientific projects by analyzing pictures and data!
Right now my favorite project has returned, called Penguin Watch (where yeah, you get to watch penguins, it’s amazing)
you basically have to analyse photos looking for penguins, their chicks, eggs or even predators and human interaction
But there are lots of interesting projects you can help in areas such as biology, physics, history or even art:
Oh and the best part, some institutions even accept it as volunteering/service hour requirements for graduation and scholarships!!
It’s helping me a lot during this time, so I thought it was worth sharing
Dire Wolves were a real actual animal that lived in North America until right about 10,000 years ago, but they really weren’t much bigger than modern grey wolves! they were slightly more heavyset, but that’s about it.
however, their packs were much much larger than modern wolf packs, sometimes containing as many as 50 individuals.
