The male frigate bird inflates his throat pouch with air and vibrates his beak and outstretched wings when attracting a mate.

InkTober Day 15 — Weak

I’m on my soap box again. Stop using anti-bird netting in your gardens! You are killing creatures that are just trying to exist the way the universe made them! Use malleable chicken wire to create a bird-friendly, bug inclusive protective shield. On that note, if you use fishing nets DISPOSE OF THEM PROPERLY or don’t use them all. If you see discarded netting anywhere, collect it and have it properly disposed of to protect wildlife.

I’m gonna be honest, I’m not very happy with this one. But why only show the ones I like? Gotta show you can’t be good all the time. A German cuckoo clock.

The California Condor is critically endangered and on the verge of extinction. As of 2017, only 463 were known to exist in captivity and the wild, combined. We must protect them. We must help them return.

This is what our oil spills do to the environment and the creatures of the sea. The brown pelican is now black with the sludge of oil; not able to fly to safety.

I drew one of my favorite birds. Who also happen to be big fruit eaters! The Comoro Blue Pigeon featuring strawberry guavas! Sweet fruits always get people drooling!

The Northern Crested Caracara is a bird of prey found in Mexico, most of Central America, and northern regions of South America. (Also southern parts of Texas, and occasionally Florida) If I lived in that heat year-round I’d definitely feel roasted.
