Considering you're a Christian, are there any games/movies/books/other media that pulls inspiration from Christian theology that you especially like or dislike? If you're comfortable answering, of course!

I don't make a big stink about it's fans or the creator, but the Viziepop shows of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss rub me the wrong way both in the depictions of Heaven and the character direction narratives.

For ones I do like, the Prince of Egypt is a fun watch while acknowledging its creative liberties with the text. Shin Megami Tensei also has takes that put a spin on the archangels and how fallen angels came to be. There are some pretty hardcore stories to the Bible I don't think are duly recognised enough, especially when the women are active in the stories!

I think something important to bring up to counter the defeatist attitude I’ve seen going around of “give up AI is inevitably going to take your art jobs” is a lack of awareness in the people making these claims. Most of them seem to not be in any sort of creative industry.

So here’s the thing. I work as a professional artist at a studio that regularly accepts art submissions from freelancers… and we REFUSE to use AI generated imagery. It’s even stated in our contracts and legal agreements.

We will not be taken advantage of by paying hundreds of dollars to AI prompters who use legally questionable means to “create” their submissions.

While many of us in the studio find AI to be ethically unsound, at the end of the day… it’s because AI is literally a LIABILITY. Avoiding it now will save us a lot of trouble and legal drama down the line.

It’s just common sense.

so I had a rise movie party with a group of friends who'd never seen it before and the highlights included:

"fucked up that mikey got a hairline just to have it recede" - about future mikey

"oh that wouldn't be too bad. it's like ground beef." "yea but ground beef doesn't grab back" - about the krang console

everyone letting out the loudest "OOOOOUUUFFFF"s at "the world needs master leonardo, and all we got is this guy"

also we got pizza for the occasion host a turtle party it's very fun :)
