of course that’s okay, variety is the spice of life ! personally i think the record shop rp is a much better idea. not just because i love the 60s and think that sounds like so much fun, but also because i personally only rpc muses 18+ and get the sense that most of the rp feels the same, so high school rps just aren’t really it anymore. plus, the record shop idea sounds like it has the potential to last a lot longer !

hey honey ! wealthyhq is a rich kids rp that focuses on rivalry between two of the wealthiest cities in the world, nyc & chicago. rich kids from chicago move to nyc and immediately butt heads with the rich kids from nyc. this rp focuses a lot on character development & most muses have a career path they follow whether it's a singer, actress, dancer, etc. we hope to open once we hit 25 accounts and we’re already halfway there! if you could give us a shoutout, that'd be gr8 !

hey honey, when you have the chance, can i get your opinion on a rp idea i've had for a while??? i really want to create a small town rp that's exclusively for lgbt+ characters, but i also want to do something different from the other small town rps out (to avoid creating a genetic group and also to keep it from growing stale). do you think an old school skeleton/subplots idea would work for something like this? or should i do something completely different???

of course ! i got your message about the typo too, which made me laugh. first of all, i am the small town rp number one fan so you’ve come to the right place. i am personally not a skeleton or subplot rp type of person because i really enjoy having the creative freedom to make my own character and connections from scratch, but there is no denying those are both very popular types of rps that many people enjoy ! i think subplots could be very fun as long as you ensured that the majority of them were not romance centered. i find that romance subplot rps turns the group into bubble rp-central really fast. but creating complex familial and platonic relationships (with a few romantic) could be a really great way to get your small town rp to stand out. you could also add something to the plot that makes your rp different from your run of the mill ‘look how small this town is!’ maybe the town has a new mayor who is trying to compel new people to move there to boost industry. maybe this town has opened the first exclusive lgbt+ neighborhood. maybe the town has become unexpectedly famous for some urban legend that draws all sorts of people there in hopes of experiencing it themselves. and of course, if your worry is getting stale, there are so many plot drops, events, etc. that keep things from getting boring. even just minor events, like the power going out for a night, a sweet deal at the local bar, the grand opening of a new cafe, these give characters scenarios to interact with while still allowing them to explore their relationships and character development.

i apologize for rambling so much ! but i think the fact that you care about not wanting to make it generic is an amazing start. and remember that having it lgbt+ exclusive sets it apart almost immediately ! passion shows when adminning an rp, so pick the option you are most passionate about. i don’t think you’d be going wrong with either subplot, skeleton, or whatever else you choose !

unfortunately i’m not going to be able to help you with this one. i don’t do fc help and i also don’t feel comfortable dealing with fcs who are under 18 ! however, since chace crawford is white, any white fc should do the trick. relatives often don’t look related, so i wouldn’t worry too much about matching up facial features and things - never really understood that, to be honest. i hope you find someone who can help you out more specifically !

let me just say, ya’ll need to spice up your small towns, okay. we don’t fall in love with fictional small towns because they’re in maine, it’s because they have character. like stars hollow, schitt’s creek, riverdale, hawkins, pawnee, these towns are characters in their own rights. don’t be afraid to give your town wacky npcs, crazy town traditions, creative town lore, prominent families, unique businesses, etc. i want to see some dogs as mayors, slightly insane diner owners, legends of swamp things in the lake, annual christmas in july events, whatever unique and creative things would fit your town. i have lived in some small towns and believe me, things really can get just that wacky. give characters a unique and fun place to develop, and not just a cute name in a rural state with a population count.

of course ! first of all, i think it would be nice if your icon was faceless. that’s just a personal opinion, since i think recognizable celebrities are a bit offputting when i’m scrolling down through the tags. it’d also be nice if your header matched the colour of your icon a little more. your theme isn’t my favourite, but it certainly isn’t bad by any means. the blurry sidebar is a little strange to me, and i think it leaves a little to be desired in terms of graphics, but of course elaborate graphics aren’t the be all end all of quality. i really do like the background selection and the colours are complimentary, creating a nice sense of unity. at the end of the day, it is navigable and easy to read, which are the most important things, although it doesn’t wow me. the only reason i harp on having no graphics is because i don’t like to go on a page and have the impression that it was thrown together in a few minutes. not saying that is the case with yours, but it is nice to have a little more aesthetic atmosphere !

the idea behind the rp is completely fine - i remember back in the day band rps were super popular ! however, the actual plot just gives me nothing. there’s no atmosphere, no set up for conflict, no history of the tour, absolutely nothing that gives me any substance to grab on to and get muse from. i do like that it is a limited rp, i wish we saw more of those ! the other aspect of the plot that really bothers me is that there is an obvious ‘main character’. the harry styles face being a playable character seems so wrong to me, since he is the icon, the name of the tour, the sidebar, etc. it makes everyone else feel like their characters are less than this character, and that other muses are simply a means to fuel the main character. rps are collaborative writing groups, and i truly believe everyone should be on an even playing field. i really think if this rp was going to work and create a wonderful writing atmosphere, there would have to be less emphasis on the harry styles character (or even make him npc).

these are just my opinions, and i mean no harm by them ! i wish you the best of luck with your rp.

how do you do the three blockquote thing with your gifs?

well, it’s really quite easy ! when i make the post originally, i put a regular blockquote where i want three to be. then i go into the html of the post, locate the

tag in the html, and copy and paste that two more times so there are three

tags, one right after the other. this creates the three blockquote effect. if you're trying to do it in an ask, you either have to post the ask first to access the html editing option, or use xkit to save it to your drafts (which is what i do). i hope that helped !
