drooling over your orange beaded curtain, it is SO stunning!! do you happen to have a pattern you used to make it?
Kind of? I’m sure there is a much more efficient way to make this, but I was kind of winging it. But I made this in Procreate and used each box as a bead.

You can kind of see off to the side in the below picture, I figured out how many beads were in each row and then did another tally with the order of every color included on one strand. Rinse and Repeat with 105 (I think) rows of beads :)

I don’t have the papers with what colors were in every strand, and honestly they looked like the ravings of a madman so I’m not sure if they’d be helpful to anybody 😅
I’ll be much more efficient with the next one I attempt so I can share the template if that is something people would like :)
And feel free to use the above template if you’d like to. Just tag me so I can see your lovely work! 💙

The wonderful @wrathful-reptile drew a worm on a string for me and I just had to make them real. Instead of making a graph, I challenged myself to visualize the color changes line by line as I went along. I learned a lot!
The (free!) worm on a string pattern comes from @nichet-crochet, with a couple small modifications to keep the colorwork even :> as always, I highly recommend his patterns

I am so bad at posting here consistently but I feel like Tumblr would appreciate my best friend Fishbag (and the various creatures that live within her)

Oh man I can't believe I forgot. You know that post that was like "tell me what clothes you've bought because of a character" or whatever. I searched for ages to find an adequate white cable knit sweater because of Ransom's in knives out.
#literally just buy and aran sweater#its probably cheaper to buy flights to ireland and buy a sweater from the actual woollen mills#than buy the required yarn for this sweater + time invested#i also HATE the fact its called that on ravelry#like#its a fucking aran sweater dupe!!! just call it that!!#afaik its only an aran sweater when made w aran wool and aran wool is only aran if its from the aran island sheep#i have multiple aran sweaters and have made sweaters myself from aran wool#source: my beautiful irish brain
