so leave it to this episode to wake abby the fuck up in my head, huh ? needless to say, i’m devastated, but unlike the writers, i am determined to prove that love and hope are worth fighting for.

so i’m going to bring abby back.

now, my life is insanely busy and i’ll have to make all new icons to appease my ocd. that and, of course, i will be going very canon divergent. so the reboot will take awhile. but this entire season has left me wanting to bring abby back, if only to make her the character she deserves to be.

so yes, stay tuned ! i’ll try my best to keep you updated, and in the meantime, message me if you need anything (shoot me an im and i’ll link u to my active accounts while i’m working on the reboot).

BELLAMY:

        he knew this was coming. he knew the moment he left her behind in the first place that this interaction would happen. that he would have to talk to Abby and explain—explain that while she had been waiting each day to meet her daughter again, that she had been left behind, that she had been DEAD for over 6 years. swallowing hard, Bellamy clenched his jaw, dark eyes meeting the older woman’s with deep sorrow and guilt.   “ Abby… I’m sorry. ”   he shook his head gravely,  “ she—I had to leave her behind. ”

       it felt like someone had punched her in the stomach. the shock of it was so extreme that her first reaction was honestly to laugh. this had to be a JOKE, right ? some kind of mean practical joke that he didn’t really mean. but the look on his face, the haunted sincerity in it, she couldn’t ignore that. ❝ no, ❞ she breathed, ❝ w...what do you mean YOU LEFT HER ? that’s not... ❞ she felt her knees buckle. ❝ please tell me you’ve heard from her. somehow...she has to be okay. please, bellamy. ❞

MARCUS:

his arms fly around her almost instantly in a response to her sudden embrace. his head buries in the crook of her neck, you’d think he was the one in need of her reassurance. rough fingertips trace her spine, gently trying to comfort her with his TOUCH. her soft, aged, voice hits eardrums ; having him at a loss for words. what could he possibly say to help her? sneak a little hope in the dark parts of her worried mind - he sucks in a deep breath, trying to find enough courage for the both of them. “ it’s clarke. she - she, would have figured something else out. she’s brave but she’s not stupid, there’s not a chance in hell she’d stay on the ground if she wasn’t sure she’d SURVIVE. “ palms cup the sides of her face so she’d see the FAITH in deepened eyes. “ — i know you don’t want to believe it but she’s not DEAD until we have the proof in our hands. “ 

       she very nearly BREAKS then. he’s so kind, so strong, everything she needs right now. abby griffin has always been strong. it’s a requirement of the way they’ve always lived. it’s a necessity to have remained soft for as long as she did. but the past six years have changed her. she’s different, harsher, TIRED. and yet marcus believes. and for now, that’s enough. she presses her forehead to his, breath slowing as her eyes fall softly shut. ❝ i love you, marcus. ❞ she says it in a way that harkens back to the first time. ❝ i couldn’t be more GRATEFUL to have you by my side through all of this. ❞

         eyes cast over     the young girl by her side,   smile tugging over her lips.    if it weren’t for madi,   clarke wasn’t sure how she would have survived the six years without anyone else around.  she kept her grounded,    kept her fighting because she had someone to fight for,     ❛        she was lone.      ❜     she explains,   never really one to consider herself a mother to the young nightblood,    ❛        i couldn’t leave her      ❜

        abby nods. it’s exactly what she would have done. they’ve only been reunited for a short time, but she’s already so proud of the woman her daughter has become. ❝ SEE ? ❞ she can’t help the small smile that quirks at the edges of her lips. ❝ i told you you were one of the good guys. ❞ eyes drift back to madi. ❝ she absolutely adores you.
