The Breyer History Diva once speculated that the cast iron figures identical to Breyers, usually auctioned off as Hubley figures, are actually 70s-80s knock-offs of Breyer, not by Breyer.

But Breyer has a long history of copying other companies, especially in the 50s, which is when the figures-known-as-Hubley are usually claimed to have been produced.

Trail of Painted Ponies: 'Murican company, Americans hate taxes, and I feel like a company that makes 9/11 memorial horses would rather die than pay for other people's hospital bills

My Beautiful Horses: The best vibes of any horse figure company, they feel genuine, they don't try to be something they're not.... except they totally do, they're a shameless rebrand of Showtime Stables and they later rebranded to I Love Ponies and licensed their molds to the weird and confusing Animal Hospital franchise

Lego: They're stupid and lovely

Bella Sara: Created by a social worker who wanted to empower young girls with inspirational quotes like "With joint effort we can make changes" and "You are more powerful than you realize. It is safe and good for you to be powerful." Licensed by a greedy card company that ran it into the ground. No good deed goes unpunished.

Bratz Ponyz: Lustful little animal abominations (affectionate)

Snubbies: They are my manic pixie dream girl and I am the boring normie guy who thinks they could fix me but actually they would just make me worse

Barbie: Self explanatory

Schleich Horse Club: This blog is the state and they are the enemy. I will fight them to the death. And yet. I would miss them. If I ever killed them, there would be a hole in my heart. I can't live without our vaguely homoerotic rivalry. They thotted their way into my heart with their 1/100 good figures.

CollectA: They're just trying their best.

Spirit: Furrybait

Struts: The tittiest, dilfiest horses ever put on the market. Rio is my daddy, I would die for her. I want them to step on me.

Sassy Stables: They're dumbasses and their designs aren't even that good, but when I look at them all I can think is. Would.

Safari Ltd: They're fake af. They talk themselves up, with their custom painted figures in product photos, and then you see the actual product and all you get is disappointment.

Spirit Reboot: Blatantly pandering to children.

Breyer: Look, Breyers aren't really a thing in my country, I've only seen them irl maybe thrice, but when I look at videos of Breyerfest it's 90% white middle-aged women, a lot of whom have major wine aunt vibes.

Windstone Editions: I can't throw shade at them, they're too good. They can throw shade at literally every other company.

Hubley: Replace with any other antique/defunct toy brand. They're just kids toys but people get so serious about them because they're Vintage and Antique and Historic. But at the end of they day, they're still just toys for kids.

Playmobil: Normal horses.

I wanted to go to a big swap meet (not toy specific, just general used goods) at the library today, but I forgor to bring anything swappable, so they wouldn't let me in. So instead I went to Kirppu, Fætter BR, and Børneloppen :)

Horses I saw:

They also had a ton of Chap Mei at the toy store, which is always a fun sight, but sadly the only animals were dinosaurs, sea creatures, and cop dogs

Here's my haul! Ben 10 FlexiTrax car, McDonald's 1998 bay riding horse, Bratz Ponyz Dita, Bratz Ponyz Bonita, Schleich 13890 Knabstrupper Foal, and Schleich 13981 Arabian Stallion

I'm so glad I found Dita, she's been on my wishlist for forever!!
