I dont think it's a case of "they don't care about the girls murdering people as long as they don't have to see it" as much as it is "mojo and fuzzy and probably even princess and sedusa have killed a lot of people so they probably wouldn't be mourned, let alone used as fodder for a ppg hate mob", in terms of the ggg I only brought them up wrt the fic bc it was more cynical and they seemed to be more or less off the grid so they wouldn't have anyone to mourn them (while in canon they probably have families)

I also think comparing the ppg to police is a pretty overly cynical view of the superheroes genre to begin with, and doesn't track with how police are written in ppg; they are consistently lazy and incompetent and the only times they actually do their jobs is when it gets in the way of those doing the real work. The ppg aren't police, they're better than police bc they actually want to help people instead of stroke their egos, but they're also little girls with all that responsibility on their shoulders because, again, they're the only ones putting in any effort around here

Also ppg don't "usually fight mutants", they have a pretty equal distribution of monsters, human (or human adjacent creatures) with super abilities, and normal humans (with or without enhancements). You could make the argument that the superhumans are more like them but the thing with the girls is that their powers made them feel like outcasts from society, that they want to get rid of what made them unique so they could blend in and be more convenient, while you never get that sort of insight into the villain-of-the-week. You're supposed to think the salami swami is just stealing bc he likes jewels and money

i had the same problem with it i have with cw powerpuff where, if the girls DID kill mojo (even on accident) theres no way the towns people would care. mojo probably has a body count approaching the triple digits and thats if youre being conservative and not counting any kills from the monkey army as his own. they probably wouldnt even care about the gangreen gang since theyre just a bunch of (homeless in this fic) street rats who society wouldnt gaf about. this is also ignoring all the times the girls HAVE killed people in canon (abracadaver, the rrb, almost definitely the scam artists from sun scream, theres NO way dynamo had zero casualties lbr here)

also i think its fucked that BUTTERCUP got a happy ending when bubbles didnt. bubbles didnt do fucking anything! she tried to stop it from the beginning! she put her life on the line trying to do whats right while buttercup ran away! but BUTTERCUP gets adopted by a rich guy, while bubbles was left traumatised, friendless, unable to talk, and the fic ends with her crying over her dead family? that sucks. i like the implication that she will start to befriend the rrb so she at least has someone who understands her. and id like to think theyd help her feel comfortable taking a swig of chemx again bc "you are inherently dangerous and need everything that makes you special taken away" makes for a Bad Story considering, again, BUBBLES DIDNT DO FUCKING ANYTHING 😭 like did you watch the movie... but they said in the desc smth about "ruining your childhoods" so i doubt they were an actual Fan they just saw it as "that cartoon you watched as a kid" which is Whatever...

Once a normal and perfect little girl, the daughter of Professor Utonium (whether adopted or from a previous relationship is up to audience interpretation) was accidentally exposed to various chemicals of the alphabet variety and, after being infused with Chemical W, mutated into what would later be known as the very first Powerpuff Girl. After living the first five years of her life with no powers and suddenly capable of more than she could have possibly imagined, she was unstable, but more than that she was scared. Scared of destroying everything she touched, scared of getting hurt, scared of hurting her dad. So after blowing yet another hole in the house, she fled to somewhere she could be alone and could gain control of her powers without hurting anyone she cared about.

since theyre made of different chemicals, she doesnt have the exact same powers as the other three girls. bliss cant fly, but she can teleport. she doesnt have laser eyes, but her... explosive personality more than makes up for it. she may not be the strongest or the fastest, but her telekenesis means she can hold her own just fine. she is not the ultimate powerpuff who makes the others look weak in comparison, she is just another member of the team - she has not been sent off to space - who is capable but not invincible

or, she would be. after being alone on a deserted island (Him was not communicating with her through Mih, but she did talk to herself. a lot.) for a decade, shed really prefer to focus on the luxuries of civilian life. and who can blame her? if i was eating nothing but fish and coconut for 10 years, id want a good burger or ice cream too. and shes missed out on sooooooo many movies... hey, have you girls heard of tiktok? bliss would never shy away from a fight, but shes not exactly seeking it out. shes too busy trying to adjust back into society, for better or for worse. and trust me, romance is the LAST thing on her mind right now

for the most part, the powerpuff girls remain a terrific trio, with bliss aiding them now and then, the same as in the show how she pops back to earth every so often for the plot. except she is still on earth and lives at the utonium residence, because after being separated from her family for 10 years, why would she give that up again? this is the best of both worlds; she gets to be around her family instead of being put on a bus, and shes not forced into the main group permanently

in terms of design, she was inspired by the Perfect Little Girl from the original whoopass shorts; she was the first after all! this is mostly shown in her colour scheme but an earlier draft had a similar hairstyle for her island look. since she was at one point a normal human, unlike the other ppg she has five fingers, a nose, and she lacks the iconic ppg eye design, along with all the other traits i use to separate the x-creations from regular humans. what makes bliss special is how normal she seems (if you ignore the teleporting and the levitating of course). design process:

people mischaracterise them a lot bc they dont realise theyre someones ocs (to the point people will say theyve made their own takes on the rowdyright boys, with different designs and personalities but still the same names, bc they think theyre canon) but if you look at jksketchys art on them theyre clearly good guys. those arent even the ingredients used to make them

im not particularly interested in making my own mirrorverse rowdyruff boys (i think there are enough as is even if so many people think the rowdyright boys are canon) and i dont think they need to exist since at the end of deja view, jomo had everything handled.
