With Comic-Con now in full swing, we are inspired to share how Magic Wheelchair (a charity that creates epic costumes for kiddos in wheelchairs) built a custom Super Girl wheelchair for little Zoe with Hot Wire Foam Factory tools and lots of love. It's never too early to start thinking of ideas for Halloween decor, so to get the ideas flowing, we're spotlighting this 16ft tall animatronic monster by John Merk of Xtreme Creators! This creature features 9 movements, all controlled by computer.

He used #2 pound foam for the body and cut the main blocks with our 4ft Compound Bow Cutter. He then glued it to the inner frame and sculpted the details with our Industrial Hot Knife. To finish it off, he rounded the edges with a horse brush and coated it in multiple layers of rubber latex and paint.

With the premiere of the final season of 'Game of Thrones' just around the corner, we are delighted to spotlight a fitting throwback to the GoT pop-up bar that was open for a few months in Washington D.C. in 2017.

Westerosi landmarks were brought to life in painstaking detail by Drink Company, which built three distinct areas - The House of Black and White, The North and The Red Keep. #HotWireFoamFactory tools and coatings were used to build the unique features of each area. From @xx_panddda_xx - this build is based on the Aspis of Spartan Fury Shield that is awarded to Kratos on the hardest difficulty of the game, God of War, upon completion of a certain achievement. From Kurt Jansson, "I started making this when I bought my son a vintage Castle Greyskull and realized how small it was. I wanted him to have a bigger play area for his figures. I had already purchased some #HotWireFoamFactory tools, drew up plans and began. I used 2” insulation foam, the Hot Knife, the Sculpting Tool, sandpaper (various grits) and toothpicks and wooden skewers to keep everything in place. I’m finishing the castle in a DIY hard/rubbery shell. I’ll also airbrush the details and seal it when finished. It’s been challenging, but fun and I’m shooting to have it finished before summer is over (or at least before my son goes off to college!)." .
