I've been thinking about the second end credit scene a lot, and I haven't seen very many people theorise about this so I want to say: I don't think Sam and Bucky are fighting at all. I don't think they've fallen out, or disagreed at all (or I hope not).

At the start of Thunderbolts*, we see Bucky actively working against Valentina undercover with his fellow Congressmen. He's not a particularly strong liar, and he's an even worse actor when asked about the issue by the Press.

And where do we see that stuttering Bucky again? In the end credit scene when Yelena asks him how his conversation with Sam Wilson went - he completely avoids eye contact, and he shuffles in his seat.

I really doubt Bucky Barnes would sit back and allow Valentina to get away with claiming to have created the "new Avengers" after everything she did. He probably explained everything to Sam, and they're doing what they can to work together to fight against her power and her influence.

It would be exceptionally out of character for Bucky to just ... sit back and allow it.

I've been seeing a lot of people likening them to Tony and Steve in Civil War, but that would mean they weren't on the same side. And Bucky doesn't agree with Valentina, so why would he not agree with what Sam is doing? He never planned on being a member of the Thunderbolts*, and although he has grown to like his team like a family, he still wouldn't want Valentina having all the glory. He's had enough of working for other people and doing their dirty work for no credit.

And Sam gets that too. They're absolutely not fighting on this - they're working together like they always do.

So, that's the headcanon I'm working with. This is what I hope really happened. Sam publicly suing the Thunderbolts* while Bucky works on breaking Valentina's control from the inside makes sense in my head.

I understand that Sam would be upset about the whole thing, but so would Bucky.

Here’s Steve with this great majestic kick into a standing position and then there’s Bucky.

Bucky is like he just got told to get out of his bed by his mum.

seeing people's reaction to the new yelena clip makes me realize again how badly the mcu fucked up natsha's fighting style.

like, all black widows are literally suppossed to be olympic level gymnasts, acrobats and aerialists.

that's kinda their thing...

but the mcu decided to make natasha wrap her thighs around a man's head 24/7 instead of making her fighting style what it's suppossed to be: acrobatic, artistic and even kind of ballet inspired.

"B-b-but it's not realistic!!😖🥺😢 She has the super soldier serum!!" It's the mcu! there literally was a purple man, who wiped out 50% of the universe using pretty stones.

I think you guys can survive when a woman (who's been trained in acrobatics & gymnastics since she was a little girl) uses highly acrobatic/gymnastic skills in her fighting style. And it's still not confirmed whether or not the Widows have some sort of serum but it's realistic (at least for me) that after decades of training one can pull off such skills without a serum.

The reason why we didn't see more of Rhodey past that one scene in the first ep of tftws is because he would have taken one good look at Sam and Bucky doing their weird mating ritual bickering and would have shoved them into the first empty room he could find and told them to sort their shit out. He doesn't get paid enough to deal with this and lost patience for this type of idiocy after years of watching Tony and Pepper. It won’t happen again. Not on his watch.
