"Thank you very much." Charming replied as he followed the wizard as they entered the floating castle. Once inside, Leroy was becoming more confused with the interior than amazed as he was with the exterior of the castle. However, Charming felt that too many questions would be rude and he decided to keep his thoughts and confusion to himself and allow the wizard to just continue the tour and perhaps Charming would answer a few of his own questions. "No need to apologize Howl. I am edger to see the points of interest inside here." he said with a smile on his face.
Howl and Prince Charming
Leroy was still a bit in awe to really focus on anything, but once he gathered himself, he replied, “Good day, Howl. And yes, my father sent me to meet you here. You see, we lack any type of magic in our kingdom, and with the times being what they are, he felt that we may have an advantage if we were to have some magic here, at least for a short time.” But as he said this, he felt too much like a little child looking at a shiny new toy and wanted to explore the ‘toy’. “Would it be too much trouble though Howl, before I show you around the palace and kingdom, perhaps you can show me inside of your castle?”

Charming looked down and smiled as the three princes greeted him. He bowed and replied, "Well I have no doubt that you are indeed the three bravest princes in the world."

That touch. When she placed her hand on top of his, he couldn't help but shed a tear. It was just the same, only Cinderella did not know about their new blossoming relationship. Suddenly though, a small smile appeared after hearing her agree to stay at the castle. Overcome with joy and emotion, he jumped up and hugged her tightly, never wanting to let go of her.
"Do not worry Cinderella." he started to make his promise to her, "I vow to help you recovery from this, and you will be alright." He then muttered under his breathe and said, "And we will live happily ever after."
A Fatal Fall | Charming
Horrified that this didn’t work, Leroy held his head in shame. Charming would not give up though, not on this matter, not on her. He took the slipper off of her foot and handed it to the servant nearby. After he got up up from the floor he looked in her blue eyes, she was still so confused, but he wished he could transfer the memories just by staring at her.
“Then, Cinderella, may I ask that you not return home until your wound heals? You will be looked after for a few days, with your own room. It’s… the least I could do, I feel like this is all my fault, and you were found near the palace.” he explained to her. “I will contact your stepmother right away, if that is what you wish for me to do?”

A Fatal Fall | Charming
Leroy grew more disappointed with every passing second. He was invaded by feelings of guilt and of sadness that his soon to be princess was in no way as she was before. She didn’t know all the time they started spending together, all the talks, the sharing. Then, an idea came to his mind, he motioned for one of the servants to go a fetch the glass slippers. Maybe with their magic, she could remember something.
When they return and handed him the slippers, he asked Cindi, “May I just show you these glass slippers, they belong to you. You wore them the night we danced together, so if you would please try one on, perhaps this will start to make more sense to you.”

Leroy, still holding her hand as tightly as he could, looked into her beautiful blue eyes and could feel something was not right with Cinderella. He tried to smile as he began to reply to her, “Well we were supposed to go horseback riding this morning, and I was late and you took one of the horses out for a ride. But you took a palace guard’s horse, trained for hunting, so when the horse noticed you were not it’s master, it must have gone a little crazy and tried to get back to the castle as quickly as possible.”
Charming moved closer to her side, moving the damp cloth from her head where the bruises were, and revealed an almost gash looking mark. Luckily though, it was not bleeding and he was sure this would heal. As he placed the cloth back, he did manage to smile and say, “But you are here now, and safe, and in the best of care, my dear sweet Cindi.” Leroy kissed her hand to make sure she felt at home while recovering.

"Home?" Charming asked her in a puzzled tone. What could she mean, she already home. And her stepmother, why would she wish to return to her, she hated her so much, or at least that's what she told Leroy during one of their conversations together. "But, this... this is your home, and you told me you never wished to see your stepmother ever again..."
He looked into her eyes, something was indeed very off about her. Cinderella looked as if she had no clue who she was. Leroy rose from the floor and turned to one of the doctors and quietly asked, "Is this possible, could she really have forgotten things, lost her memories due to such a strike to the head?" The doctor gave a grim nod to the Prince, and that confirmed what he feared the most. He turned back to focus on Cindi and stepped back towards her. Trying to smile, he asked calmly and softly in an effort to try and see how much of her memories she had lost, "Surely you remember going to the ball and dancing with the Prince, right?"

A Fatal Fall | Charming
Cinderella was beyond thrilled to be spending the day with her dear Charming. All lessons had been dismissed and there was to be no royal duties for either of them. She could barely contain her excitement and hurried through breakfast to get back to her bedroom and change into her riding outfit. It was a simple brown dress, a cream colored blouse and a light brown vest. Cinderella laced up her riding boots tightly, pulled her hair back into a low ponytail then left her room.
She rushed down to the stables, eager to meet Charming and begin their horseback ride through the country. Not seeing him yet, Cinderella began to saddle up one of the palace horses. Being familiar with taking care of her own farm horse, she knew step by step of how a horse should be suited up for riding. She brushed out it’s coat then placed one of the saddle blankets on it’s back. Cinderella grabbed an english saddle and finished tacking up the horse; with still no sign of Charming, she decided to take the horse for a warm up walk while she waited. She carefully hoisted herself up onto the horse’s back and clicked her tongue, commanding it to walk.
The air was fresh and brisk, a perfect day to spend outdoors. Cinderella took in a deep breath and smiled to herself, looking up at the magnificent castle. It amazed her that she was the soon to be wife of the Prince and lived in the largest home in town. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would ever be there. As she took in her surroundings, Cinderella became unaware of the direction that her horse was heading; she was being taken into the woods and it wasn’t until she was completely surrounded by trees that Cinderella knew she was lost. “Oh dear…” She sighed, pulling her horse to a stop and looking about. Cinderella pulled on the reigns and turned her horse back the way they came but as she did, a stray tree branch caught her sleeve, snagging it and holding it tight. Her frantic movements to release herself caused the reigns to tighten and slacken; the eratic tug and pull caused the horse to get antsy and rear up.
Cinderella yelled in surprise and lost her hold on the horse, her body lurching backwards then forwards, her head slamming against the horses neck. She groaned in pain and helplessly gripped at the horse’s mane as it took off at a gallop. Her eyes closed tightly, her face buried into the horse’s shoulder as it raced through the trees. One sharp turn after another made her grip loosen and one last whip around the tree sent Cinderella tumbling off of her horse’s saddle and into a heap on the ground. As she fell, her head hit the ground first taking the force of the fall; her vision grew blury with tears and the oncoming darkness as she blacked out.

Charming woke up that very morning and planned to do all sorts of special things for Cinderella on their first day they would spend together, free of any commitments and obligations. He tried to stay clear of her until they met in the stable as planned, but he went off into the castle's garden to pick the most beautiful of flowers and give them to her as a gift of the morning. Once he had the roses he sought after, he walked around the castle to the stable and could not spot Cindy anywhere. Charming thought she may not have been ready, but as he looked closer into the stable, he noticed one of the horses missing. "Oh no..." he said aloud as he gasped, if she did take a horse, she took one of the hunting horses, not the ones for riding around the palace.
He immediately got his own horse ready as the horse she took ran back into the stable, scared and knowing something was wrong. Leroy commanded his horse to follow the tracks the other horse had left and off they went in search of where Cindy had gone off to. After a few moments, the horse dashed to the entrance of the forest seeing the tracks trail off in that direction, and Charming had a pit in his stomach. Had he not gone looking for flowers, this would have never happened. Charming gazed into the distance, seeing a body on the ground, and as they road closer up to the body, he gasped in horror as it was indeed Cinderella. He leaped off his horse and carried her onto his back and shoulders. He placed her gently on his horse and rushed her back to the palace. She was unconscious and she had a bruise on her head, something Charming hoped wouldn't be too serious.
Once back at the Castle, he rushed her inside and placed her on the sofa in the main drawing room, and called out for servants to get the nursing staff. Minutes later, she was attended to as Leroy stood by her side the whole time, making sure she was in the best of care. Cindy started to come to, and Leroy held her hand tightly. "Are you alright Cinderella?"

"Ah yes, it is late." As he nodded his head, he reached for her hand and started to walk down the hallway to their rooms. As they walked, hands holding tightly, Charming felt his heart race. This was really happening and it was going to continue to happen the longer he and Cindi stayed together. After a few moments, they reached their rooms and he kissed her and said, "Good night my dear sweet love, sleep well."

Charming shook his head while smiling, "No we can not have that, otherwise I don't think we will be looked at the same way ever again." He raised a brow at her change in expression and played off her change as he embraced it. But then he noticed the Duke walk up to them and he nodded as Cindi jumped and went back to her original posture. Leroy whispered, "Don't worry, it's just the Duke, I didn't know he was home..." The Duke bowed and spoke softly, "Sire, once more I wish to congratulate you on finding your love, carry on." Charming waved to him as he left and turned back to Cindi and said, "That was very out of character of him, he must really be happy, for once." he said with a giggle.
