Kirk: Spock’s in your head pulling the strings, huh? Sounds like a Ratatouille-type situation.
Bones, smacking himself in the forehead: More like BRATatouille

The bridge crew of TOS ranked by how good they are at playing geometry dash:
1: Spock. Its logical to jump based on the music, and he already knows what to do from the practice rounds.
2: Chekov. He spent a lot of his downtime in the academy playing it and he's still pretty fresh so he hasn't lost his skills. Usually people assume he's the best because so far they've only gotten Spock to play it twice.
3: Uhura. Of course she's good at it. Queen.
4: Sulu. He and Uhura are actually pretty closely matched, but he only gets 2 of the three coins because he doesn't know where the third one is.
5: McCoy. He isn't the worst at it, but he doesn't practice enough to be good. "I'm a doctor not a gamer!"
6: Scotty. Despite his prowess with engineering, Scotty isn't hip and cool with the kids. He only heard of it once he started the five year mission on the enterprise.
7: Kirk. Gets teased endlessly for it. Its not really his fault, the flashing colors sometimes give him headaches.

The One With The Whales and Nemesis exist on opposite ends of a spectrum with TVH being gods perfect comedy and Nemesis being a terrible brutal grimdark action movie
#havent seen a couple of movies yet but this is...correct#star trek#im not gonna tag all the films too much effort

tos episode where kirk, mccoy, spock, and scotty are all sent to a conference so sulu, chekov, and uhura have to basically run the ship.
and starfleet tells them they need to get some medicine or something to a planet. and there’s not time to recall the crew or even tell the captain, so they head out without them. but it should be fine! it’s only a delivery mission.
but EVERYTHING goes wrong. they get attacked by an alien, there’s an alien virus on board, the medicine spills everywhere, the engines are going bonkers, the crew is panicking.
thoughout the episode, there’s shots interspersed of scotty ranting about the enterprise engines, mccoy arguing with some doctors, kirk tapping his foot and trying to pay attention to whatever boring admiral panel he’s forced to listen to, spock almost enjoying himself talking to other scientists, etc.
but anyway uhura, chekov, and sulu do end up solving every problem (with the help of m’benga and chapel finding a treatment for the alien virus AND re-making all the medicine that spilled) AND getting to the rendezvous on time.
they beam the crew onboard and back on the bridge, kirk asks everyone if anything interesting happens. everyone replies in the negative and make comments about how boring it was. kirk goes to sit in the captains chair and it breaks and he falls onto the ground and yells “WHAT HAPPENED TO MY CHAIR”

A few weeks ago I’ve been like, well, what to watch next on Netflix…? Oh, there’s this really really old Star Trek series… Might watch an episode or two for tv history purposes…
Now I’m half way through season two and there’s no going back!
