I genuinely wish I could see inside Musk’s head or at least get an explanation for how he was thinking his plans would work out.

Like it’s clear now he is fantastically out of touch with reality but I still really wanna know like, to what degree. Did he think people would accept his ultimatum? Did he genuinely think it would only take like 300 people to keep Twitter running?

I can sing and play multiple instruments, write songs, improvise, engineer, mix and master... and I still feel like an imposter 90% of the time.

Maybe it has everything to do with anxiety/depression because I'm not sure we're supposed to feel invincible. Whenever I take a moment to do some self-care (relax, clean, stretch, meditate, socialize), I've found that it resets me. My self perception returns to NEUTRAL and honestly, I feel like that's the best place to be. What I do feels less stressful and less important and more like I'm just having fun.

We all like being good at things. But trying to be the best... at a certain point, it just sucks. And if you achieve it, the feeling is so fleeting and pointless.

Don't try to be anyone. Just express what's in your heart, be honest with yourself, and have fun.

How do y'all deal with imposter syndrome and/or crippling anxiety? Why do I feel like I'm invincible at one point and a blithering crying mess the next. Why do I have tears in my eyes. Why am I about to cry.

I recently bought a Torpedo Captor X—it allows me to track guitar at full volume without making a sound. It also has some pretty cool cab simulations and reverb BUT I HAVE TO WAIT FOR MY NEW TUBES TO BE DELIVERED BEFORE I CAN DO ANYTHING.

I remember years ago when I was still in therapy I told my therapist that I felt bad asking my friends for help because a lot of them were also going through some bad stuff and she told me

“You know, sometimes people in crisis will enjoy helping. It can be a distraction from their own problems.”

And then the next week I reached out to a friend who was in the middle of going through something about what I was going through and my therapist was right. That friend jumped at the opportunity to help.

And I’ve realized since then that my own problems rarely have anything to do with my ability to help others with theirs unless I am literally having an attack of some kind at that moment. In fact, it is actually refreshing to work on other peoples problems with them sometimes. Listening to problems you’re not soaking in constantly and helping your friend is often something you just want to do because you care about them. And you don’t stop caring about people because you’re having a hard time right now.

So I guess sometimes inviting someone into your sinking ship does work actually.

I like to imagine the demons in Dark Souls games using some social media app called Screechr while waiting for the protagonist to spawn and it's full of bad monster memes and posts like "Gribdor just ate a face!" and in the game you overhear a guy complaining about an archdemon named Algorithm because his post only got 2 screams.
