Its actually insane how much of Destiel is Cas being pulled away and Dean being devastated. Like they really had to do that because if they were together constantly like they were in Seasons 4 and 5 continously they would have been making out and getting married by Season 8. They had to keep separating them but it just made it more tragically gay.

I was gonna use "100% of divorces were caused by marriage" in a conversation about misleading statistics

Also the lips, both their upper lips are more pouty
Thinking back to Crowley calling Sam a giraffe which I didn't actually remember from the show except from that really misleading gif. So obviously I thought he was referring to Castiel as the giraffe, which at first seemed odd to me since nothing about Cas reminds me of a giraffe, but then I looked up pictures of giraffes for reference and it's literally the same face:
Cas:
Giraffe:
...IT'S IN THE EYES
Anyways, apparently Sam's the giraffe which is sad cause in my heart of hearts he'll always be a moose
also Cas is such a giraffe sometimes (affectionate)

listen i love the timeless trope of bottom!dean is bad with words and emotions so top!cas waxes poetic to and about dean while making sweet, tender love to him as much as the next guy.
like i totally get it, i do. that dynamic fits them the best and is arguably the truest to their personalities and relationship with each other......
but hear me out:
there's something so intensely romantic and hot about the concept of an angel of the lord overwhelmed, trembling and whimpering at the hands of the righteous man. need to see that ancient celestial creature strung out, desperate, whining, yearning, pathetically whipped and weak with how deeply and completely in love he is. i want castiel鈥攖he mighty seraph with power far beyond human comprehension鈥攁bsolutely wrecked as dean winchester slowly and lovingly takes him apart mind, body, and soul.

SO TRUE, HE'S LITERALLY A FELONN
so tired of all these fics where merlin is captured and is like "p-please n-n-n-n-no" like this hoe didn't show up to camelot, immeadiately聽commit aggravated assault, get arrested, get out of prison, continue to try both commit aggravated assault and regicide, and then within the next 30 minutes of the episode commit like 3 counts of murder 馃槶馃槶

Here's a quick au idea that just came to me today:
In a modern au where Merlin is still waiting on Arthur, historians recently discovered a whole batch of legal documents from Arthur's reign. These documents detail many changes he made to the laws of Camelot, including the repeal of the magic ban (which the historians assumed was just a halt on witch hunts).
However, one thing that the historians note as strange were the large number of laws that only applied to the king's personal manservant, who was never mentioned by name in the documents. These laws range from oddly specific, such as 'the king's manservant shall not accompany knights to the tavern', to downright bizarre decrees that make no sense, like 'the king's manservant is hereby forbidden from pointing out stew in the king's hair.'
The historians' first guess was that perhaps King Arthur was going a bit mad in his later years, but they didn't find any other ludicrous laws besides the ones pertaining to his manservant, which then led the historians to question the identity of this manservant and his relationship to the king.
All of this culminates in a historical exhibit showcasing the documents and postulating on this mysterious manservant of king Arthur. Many scholars flock to the exhibit, eager to examine the documents and debate their meaning and impact within a historical context.
Which then leads to a very tired Dr. Merlin Emrys, a medieval history professor, being dragged by his colleagues to see the exhibit and having to stifle is laughter as these world-renowned scholars tear their hair out trying to understand what was essentially a prank war between him and Arthur.
