I need art more than ever right now, even if it’s just a Cowboy Cactus - it’s been a tough few days here in Minnesota, but it’s been comforting watching people continue to show up through it all ❤️

hey sorry not to be an asshole but I saw someone say that a sports team posting about pride month was "pandering" and I need you to log off and touch grass because now more than EVER it's important that large institutions (and especially those that could easily be right wing like sports teams) show the fuck up for queer and trans people. especially trans people. so no it is not "pandering" to take a stand for a marginalized group of people that are currently under attack for trying to play sports. be so fucking for real

A bus may have only a couple of passengers, especially at the beginning or end of its route. But let's also take fuel efficiency into account.

does anyone have that quote that goes something like 'white germans under the nazis lived just fine as long as they were loyal to the state, gave their children to the army, and paid their taxes, and in this sense many americans would be comfortable living under fascism' trying to find who said it but google is giving me jack shit

What Where When: Narcan is a mini zine that explains what Narcan (naloxone), opioids, and overdose are, and when to intervene. Unfolding the zine reveals a list of places to get Narcan for free in Seattle. I encourage you to download this zine to educate yourself on Narcan even if you don't live around Seattle.
If you would like to add a list of distributors in your city, please download and make a copy of this google doc:
to put your locations on the backside. Once you do so, I would appreciate it if you could email me your version at [email protected].
I would love to collect versions of this for every city. This google doc features the info side in just the right spot to be printed well and not cut off, so I recommend not moving that image until you print a test zine.
This zine is free to download, but if you like what I do and want to support me, feel free to purchase this at whatever price you want to give. I do not currently receive any funding for this project, though I would really like to. I want to be able to distribute this across Seattle on a wider scale.

Hi friends. Please take a moment to fight back against HR1 & prevent our rights from being stripped away. I've put together a call script/email message that you can use when contacting your senators.
You can use https://www.5calls.org to call them and https://www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm to message them.
Hi, my name is _____. I’m a constituent of Senator _____ and my zip code is _____.
I’m contacting you today to ask that you oppose the “one big beautiful bill” HR1. If it passes, HR1 will cut funding from medicaid, SNAP, and student aid. This would prevent millions of americans from accessing healthcare, education, and even food. These are human rights. In addition to budget cuts, HR1 would stop medicaid from covering gender-affirming healthcare for all americans. House Republicans struck the word “minors” from this section, meaning that trans people of any age will not be able to receive healthcare critical to our survival through medicaid.
Not only would HR1 slash the budget of programs that support americans, it would also give billions of dollars to ICE to kidnap, detain, torture, and deport people without due process. Due process is a constitutional right, and ICE should not be able to take that away. For all of these reasons, I am asking that you respect the demands of your constituents and oppose HR1.

NO ONE CAN TAKE SELF PUBLISHING AWAY FROM YOU.
NO ALGORITHMS OR OLIGARCHS CAN CENSOR YOU.
NO GATEKEEPERS CAN TELL YOU WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY IS NOT IMPORTANT OR VALUABLE.
NO GRANT FUNDING CAN BE WITHDRAWN FROM YOUR WORDS.
NO INSTITUTION CAN BAR YOU FROM ENTERING.
NO KNOWLEDGE IS UNAUTHORIZED.
THAT IS WHY YOU MUST MAKE ZINES!

I’ve always had a complicated relationship with the outdoors. I spent a lot of time in nature as a kid - catching frogs, splashing in creeks, and exploring the ravine in our backyard. But, I’m autistic and disabled, so sometimes nature can be a nightmare. The sun is warm, but it is also scalding. As I got older, I started to believe that I just didn’t like being outside anymore, that I couldn’t handle it. I dreamt of being surrounded by A/C and concrete. I dreamt of the city.
Lately, I’ve been trying to reconnect with nature. I realized that I didn’t really want to live in a city, I just wanted control - to run from everything that made me uncomfortable. But it’s hard to run from something you’re a part of. We were made to engage with this ecosystem, to connect. Now I dream of greenhouses and gardens and a babbling brook. I’ve learned trees and mushrooms can communicate, and I want in on the conversation. Maybe one day, I’ll even go camping.
