How do you feel about the recent future-shock in Magi?

Im actually really excited to see where this all goes. Ohtaka is a genius writer and I’ve never really been unhappy with anything she’s done in the story line, so Im really excited to see how everything has changed and how the characters have changed, too. 

I really want to see what the Kou Empire looks like now, if thats any different, too, or if it still has the same feel to it. I hope that didn’t change much, I will be a bit upset if that’s changed a lot, but we will see. 

It is interesting how she’s making Sinbad seem like the good guy right now, but there is obviously something bad going on. I am kind of upset, though, with how all the characters, who had such strong bonds, have been torn apart by the changes Sinbad has made. It’s good for the citizens, but it’s just sad to see them all separated. I mean, Ja’far actually being praised for getting in to see Sinbad because it’s so difficult, when before he could see him any time he wanted? That is just such a huge change, and I know that has to be hard on all of them. That is very sad. 

Something that does get me is that Ohtaka picked SHELLS for the phone. Like SHELL -CELL- PHONE, like are you for real lol. 

Also I want Judar to have an outfit change so bad I can’t hardly stand it, he’s like one of the only main characters that HASN’T had a change in the WHOLE series. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love his outfit, but I just hate not seeing him getting developed in the way that he deserves I guess?

One thing thing that is annoying me about all this new stuff, is how the fans are reacting to it. Like, it’s been three years, we get that. But people do not age THAT MUCH in three years to the point where there should be an OBVIOUS difference. I mean, Im 23 and I still look exactly like I did when I was 18. 

And I mean, this is a MANGA. It’s obviously stylized, there is NOT going to be a big change in their appearance besides clothing. That’s something that has been seriously annoying me about what people have been saying. Like chill. It’s only been three years, not ten. If it was ten, then Id understand why they dont look older in some way, but three years? They aren’t going to look any different lol.
