Stretching in his chair, Alastor’s ears flicked, his spine and joints popping quietly as he stretched them out. Yawning, he got back into his previous position, eyes heavy with the yearn for sleep.

It took only a moment for the shorter male to pop his head into the room, looking at his partner. “You doin’ ok over there, sleepy-head?” He teased, smirking slightly.

Alastor turned his chair to face the blond, raising an eyebrow. “I suppose you wouldn’t understand being tired at such an early hour. Unlike you, I wake up on time.” His grin grew wider, ears perking up.

Lucifer gave a light laugh before walking into the room, tightening his robe over his thin waist. “So you admit it? You’re tired?”

A hand ran through Alastor’s ruby-red hair, brushing against his soft, fluffy ears before beginning to pet one. Alastor leaned into the touch, not wanting to admit how much he enjoyed the other’s contact. “And if I am?” The deer demon mumbled, letting his heavy eyes lay closed as Lucifer continued to pet and play with his ears.

“Maybe that means it’s an early bedtime for me, too.” Lucifer replied, smiling down at Alastor with a soft look in his eyes.

On the other hand, Alastor was confused. It was not often that the king of Hell had an early night in. He was usually up well into the early morning, whittling away at his ducks or on his phone. “Really, now?” He purred. “I’m surprised you’re coming to bed so early, darling.”

Lucifer gave a light-hearted laugh at Alastor’s comment. “We can watch TV, read a book. Something. Whatever it is, I wanna do it with you” The blond paused. “Why don’t we put on a show? It’ll help you wind down from your oh-so-long day.” Lucifer said with a chuckle. “What do you wanna watch?” He asked, twirling a piece of red fur between his fingers.

Giving a quiet hum, Alastor thought for a moment. What did he want to watch, anyway? He wasn’t so sure, honestly. He typically wasn’t one for TV, that technology never really interesting him. However, he did know Lucifer liked watching programs on that moving picture box on occasion. “You know I don’t know anything about that blasted box. Put on something you want to watch, my dear.” Alastor replied as Lucifer took his hand away.

The shorter of the two smiled down at Alastor. “You don’t wanna watch your shows?” He asked with a tilt of his head.

Alastor smiled as he got up, removing his shirt before sitting in the bed.. “I don’t exactly watch TV. I don’t have any ‘shows’ to put on for us.” The man replied, a bit sad that Lucifer had taken his hand away from his soft ears.

Lucifer looked over at the TV on the other side of the room. He had never seen Alastor watch it, come to think of it. Though he wasn’t so sure if it was just his timing or if Alastor had no interest. He supposed he got the answer to that question, now.

“I’ll put on something from Earth. Something to just brain rot us with.” Lucifer said, crawling into bed beside Alastor.

Furrowing his brow, Alastor wasn’t all-too sure what ‘brain rot’ meant. He wasn’t up to date on the newest lingo, and he didn’t want to embarrass himself by asking the fallen angel who was laying against him. “Like?” Alastor asked.

Lucifer smiled. “Why not something cheesy like Love Island or The Bachelor. Oh! I know, you’d really like The Real Housewives of Orange County!” The shorter got excited, grabbing the remote off of his bedside table and turning the television on.

It took a little while of flipping the channels, but he was finally able to get the TV on the channel he wanted, a group of rich-looking middle-aged women all gossiping with each other.

This peaked Alastor’s interest, getting comfortable with the king beside him.

Lucifier smiled, he knew this would be right up Alastor’s alley. The catty women sometimes reminded Lucifer of the radio demon, with how gossipy he could be.

The pair relaxed, Lucifer pulling the comforter over the two of them before turning the overhead light off. Alastor nestled against him, kissing his head and adjusting his glasses.

Lucifer periodically looked over and up at Alastor, gauging his interest in the program he had put on. It seemed Alastor was enjoying it, soft ears perked and facing the television. “How do you even get these shows down here?” Alastor asked after a commercial began to air on the device.

“Somehow. I don’t know. That’s not something I ever really cared to wonder about.” Lucifer laughed. “Some technology, I don’t know.”

Grinning, Alastor looked down at Lucifer with soft eyes as Lucifer put his head against his fluffy chest. “You really like that, huh?” He inquired, his hand running through the other’s soft blond hair.

“You’re soft.” Was all Lucifer could get out before the commercials on the television stopped, returning to the show that he had put on for the two of them.

Both men continued to watch the episode airing on the channel Lucifer had put on. Alastor would never admit it, but he quite liked this show so far. He wasn’t even sure what the purpose of it was, but it was enjoyable enough where it kept his attention.

“Shocking that people call this a program.” Alastor commented as Lucifer looked up at him once again.

“And? You seem to be enjoying it.” Lucifer teased, bringing a slim finger up to boop Alastor’s nose.

Giving a soft chuckle, Alastor wrapped an arm around the shorter male. “I never said I was or was not enjoying it, darling.” He replied. “Just surprised that those up in the mortal realm call this entertainment.”

Lucifer rolled his eyes, sticking his tongue out at Alastor. The radio demon kissed his nose, nuzzling his cheek against Lucifer’s hair. “You know, you’re cute when you’re cuddly.” Lucifer purred.

Blushing slightly, Alastor brought his eyes back to the television, one of the brunette women talking about her collection of expensive handbags. “I’m not cute.” Alastor replied sternly.

“Oh, c’mon! Take a compliment, Al!” Lucifer exclaimed, nuzzling more into his partner’s soft chest fur. “It wouldn’t kill you to take one.”

Alastor put his other hand on Lucifer’s head, petting his hair some more. He chose not to comment on Lucifer’s small outburst. He wasn’t one for accepting compliments like that, but he did not want to upset the other, so he chose to remain silent.

Yawning, the radio demon slid a bit more down the bed, the back of his head resting on one of his many pillows. “Sleepy, still, Al?” Lucifer asked as Alastor nodded. “You can sleep, I’ll be right here next to you.”

“Don’t you want to continue watching your little show?” Alastor asked, eyes feeling heavier by the moment.

Lucifer smiled. “I can still watch it while you sleep, I’ll just turn the volume down a little bit so it doesn’t wake you up.”

Nodding, Alastor squeezed the king gently. “Alright. Goodnight, my precious duckling.” Alastor mumbled, kissing Lucifer’s cheek.

“Goodnight, my deer.” Lucifer squeezed Alastor gently, grabbing the remote and turning the volume on the television down a little bit. He was still able to hear it just fine, but he didn’t want to disturb Alastor’s sleep. He knew how grumpy and irritable the deer demon could get if he didn’t get adequate sleep.

As Alastor was falling asleep, the last thing that he saw on the bright screen was the group of housewives going into the luxury boutique, shopping as if they had no budget.

Chest rising and falling gently, Alastor quickly fell asleep beneath Lucifer. The shorter cuddling close, his own eyes beginning to feel a tad heavy. Something about snuggling Alastor while he was sleeping was making himself sleepy, despite it being so early into the night.

It didn’t take very long for Lucifer to fall asleep against Alastor, the television still playing as his eyes shut and his breathing slowed down. He ended up falling asleep to the women on screen talking about their miniscule drama that didn’t have a big impact on the real world, but was oddly important and big to them.

It was nights like these that the two men enjoyed. Slow nights in, nothing occupying their time aside from each other. It was enjoyable, relaxing, and comforting.

The television played the final part of the episode the two had been watching, continuing on to the next reality TV show. Though, the pair didn’t even notice, deep in their slumber as the television continued playing, lighting up the otherwise dark bedroom.

Super Blood Wolf Moon - Chapter 1

I've been quietly re-writing it for the past year. It's not finished by any means, as I rarely now get time to just sit down and write. But, I have chapter 1 posted, and there's gonna be a few more chapters I have backlogged and ready to post.
