I don’t know if it’s the same for other writers, but since I’ve created my first batch of original characters, so many more recent characters are just the originals remixed and reskinned to fit another narrative. Different names and backstories, different archetypes, even, but they exist to represent the same themes and messages as they always have. Like they’re all my actors with their go-to roles and I just keep casting them in new productions.

I’m sure anyone who’s intensively read all of my work could pick up on it—and I do of course have hundreds of supplemental characters, just these core six/seven that populate somewhere in the main cast—but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.

hi hello, it's Haru and Lighter. It's been years since I interacted with a fandom,, but I need to feed myself a good rare ship. I have consumed their story quests and I am obsessed. These are doodles I have after their quests.

for context, I didn't play zzz, I did play hsr, I just felt inspired by the fact they had certain events as lightcones so there's that. It's a four star lightcone. The names are from my sister's. She's the reason I'm in this mess.

okie so these two would def be the type to have witty banters, their dynamic is so fun! Haru def have a habit of running away when it comes to confronting vulnerable feelings, he just kinda am used to hiding stuff. It def contrast with lighter's tendency to express effections and all- so good luck trying to run, haru. Hehe :D. When they're mad tho, it's hilarious. according to my sibling, haru just amits period energy when he's mad, and Lighter 100% would be confused and dodge first, asks questions later. Also, In this house we support lighter being a human heater and a weighted blanket. What can I say, my man is soft like that.

After drawing these though, the same sibling unleashed writing so painful that I just cry with a mere 400 words. you should read 'em when you had the time.

DEEP DELVE TIME INTO HARUMASA X LIGHTER

Just everything that I have scoured (Read: stumbled across) the game for (WARNING: Huge ass paragraph below)

In one of Lighter's trust events (I haven't done it bc I don't have Lighter), Harumasa calls Seth blind for thinking Lighter was the guy on a wanted poster (He was but still) and scolded Seth for chasing Lighter down in Lumina Square, Harumasa then teased Lighter for being a "good citizen" and "putting up with it", then Lighter just told Harumasa to calm down then Harumasa just listened, no questions asked. In one of Harumasa's trust events, Harumasa and Lighter bump into each other at Lumina Square, then Harumasa just calls Lighter's jokes cheesy and said it had been a while since they saw each other, Lighter then said, and I quote "You're too kind, I was just giving someone a taste of their own medicine." THEN WE GET THE FKN OPTION TO SAY "Are you two...?", "Is there some tension between you two...?" or "You guys have such a great relationship" WTF?!?! Lighter apparently doesn't really go into the city btw and he feels like the whenever he does, he meets the whole world. Then Harumasa says "You're not trying to say that running into me and Belle/Wise is troubling, are you?" then Lighter hit back with the "If you insist on thinking like that, there's nothing I can do about it" THEN HARUMASA CALLS LIGHTER A THORNY ROSE!!!! Also turns out, Harumasa frequently hires Lighter to take care of commissions (Read: Do the fighting Harumasa doesn't want to) and blah blah blah stuff that he doesn't need to follow up on a thing anymore. Bro still pays him for nothing tho then says "like usual" proves Harumasa hires Lighter often so they see each other often. THEN HARUMASA SMACKS US IN THE FACE WITH A "Belle/Wise should know, that I actually have quite a connection with this guy, in a way. He want's to die but can't and I want to live but can't" Then he says he's kidding, saying that we wouldn't take it seriously. Blah blah blah, Harumasa says he has to go before a colleague finds him and drags him back to work.

Harumasa's agent story title, "A Name Written in Water," is literally so clever because writing his name in water, trying to create something lasting and leaving behind a piece of himself through a medium that will inevitably fade, is symbolic of him struggling to survive against unfavorable and insurmountable odds.
