I like it! i can definitely see the appeal in it, they were both done pretty dirty and were in very shitty situations, i can see them bonding over losing someone very important to you and not being able to do anything about it leading them to a dark path, but also i can see them work together to get better and heal from all of it, probably far away from outpost 3 they can just chill together
