The serpent imagery from the bible for Adam and Eve is quite strong too, funny considering he was the Fount of Knowledge and the forbidden fruit gave Adam and Eve the realisation that they were… you know, but knowledge overall, for example the knowledge of good and evil. Smilk overall has ALOT of snake imagery, like in his intro where theres a blue apple from the root of a tree and a snake that obviously resembles him bites into it.

Not only that, Pure Vanilla has Jesus imagery. No, am not going insane, truly. Not only does the serpent get punished overall (TREE PRISON!!! Its close enough to not having legs anymore ig-/j)but jokes aside, it was connected to sin, or the direct opposite of Jesus, Smilk and PV are opposites or counterparts if you will, Truth and Deceit cancel each other out, Jesus and sin cancel each other out. Also isn't deceit a sin? Pure Vanilla also spent an unspecified amount of time on the Sugar Free Road which as been seen is depicted by a desert(correct me if am wrong-) but nonetheless he is said to have faced 12 trials and reached enlightenment at the end. This sounds an awful lot like when Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. He fasted for forty days and forty nights which is a trial(ish) and then later crucified, then resurrected and reaching enlightenment.

Same rough plot, good person/cookie + trials/hardship probs in desert = enlightenment

And same goes with our snakey Smilk, person/cookie + too much knowledge = corrupted + consequences

Did I just do a thorough analysis on sentient talking cookies in a mobile game? Sure, I did ! Am I sane, probs not~
