Why is it so hard for people to believe Jayce chose to die alongside Viktor rather than live without him?

They say that Jayce choosing to stay with Viktor was out of obligation as a creator of HexTech. They say he just wanted to end what he started and whether Viktor was there or not doesn’t matter. They say he would’ve died anyway because wizard Viktor doomed him to this fate and he already was suffering from necrosis.

Never mind that this whole mess started because Jayce decided to fuse Viktor with the Hexcore to revive him instead of destroying it like he promised. Never mind that the reason Heimerdinger was kicked off the council was because he was going to shut down something that could save Viktor.

Stop acting like Jayce had no agency in this choice. He took responsibility for the carnage that happened, yes and that’s part of it. But he also genuinely did not want to live without Viktor. He loved Viktor

I do not see why “Jayce didn’t want to live without Viktor” is such a controversial statement when Jayce doing impulsive things out of a fear of losing Viktor is a huge part of his character.

Sorry but as an ex-Christian and a JayVik fan I still find it absolutely hilarious how like one person accidentally mistook a Mary and Jesus art for a JayVik art and the quotes were full of people who don’t even watch Arcane calling JayVik shippers as a whole “misogynists” and “male-centered”. All around whining that those darn fujos had to ruin the wholesome feminist holy Mother’s Day art.

I just couldn’t help but giggle bc the Bible in itself is like the most male centered book in history. The religion based around it treats women like incubators. Mary herself is treated like an incubator and not much else.

I’m sorry but the voiceline discourse is so funny to me. If Jayce said “are we beyond repair?” to Viktor and Jayviks tried to say that meant our ship was canon Meljay shippers would call for us to be institutionalized but because he’s saying it to Mel that line is now Unambiguously Romantic and if you try to claim otherwise you’re reading the text wrong. Het ships that have broken up in canon are allowed a degree of assumed romantic reading while gay ships need to have literally undeniable proof in order for people to acknowledge them and even then people will deny any canonicity of it makes them uncomfortable.
