I understand why 28 years later is such a devisive film in the sense that people were expecting a gory zombie action movie rather than a tender coming of age story set in the apocalypse, the trailers certainly didn’t help it. Although the same sentiment coming from fans of 28 days later is surprising to say the least, I don’t know if fans somehow didn’t notice or realize that the original 28 days was a surreal, human tale set dressed in zombies.
I’m not saying 28 years was flawless, there were a few underdeveloped points that I assume will continue to be built upon in the coming sequel but I just feel like a lot of the criticisms are coming from people who just don’t know how stories and characters function.
