CW: Unmasked Ghoul

Normally I wouldn’t post this in the main tags, but it’s tagged with a content warning and this issue has come up so many times with people unknowingly using the unmasked ghoul’s personal nickname that I think it’s important to share.

To summarize:

Here’s a collection of clips of the unmasked ghoul / lead guitarist discussing his nickname and tattoo in recent livestreams via instagram.

While some people close to him still call him “Sodo,” neither “Sodo” nor “Sodomizer” was never meant to be a stage name and it’s not the official name of the ghoul NOR is it a fan made name for the ghoul. This misconception came about b/c “Papa Emeritus IV” called him Sodo / Sodomizer on stage. However, this was simply a way for our unmasked papa to call out his friend without using his real name. In reality, the ghouls don’t have official names. That’s why they’re nameless ghouls.

If you’re still using “Sodo Ghoul” as an official name, you may want to reconsider.

Remember how I said I couldn't stop thinking about Ghouls? yeah LOL. Anyways, I finally finished my "Ghoul Guide" which is a comic featuring made up lore about summoning nameless ghouls as well as things about them and their roles!

this by no means is comprehensive of everything I've made up for them, but I'm testing the waters with this comic! if it gets enough love I'll make an additional comic about ghoul origins, element types, and maybe even design non-assigned ghoul outfits for each era costume hehe.

A rite of passage for becoming “Papa”, It starts with a will and your judgement

A specialized chamber is necessary, 1) to avoid interference 2) to prevent escape.

After all; feral ghouls are raw elements, And to survive, one must tame them.

Each element has a diversity of strengths and rarity / and the first ghoul summoned sets precedent for how a leader is perceived.

Additionally, the first is the personal servant and an important assistant for life; Often times assistance is needed for future summoning, but a limit of 2 maintains respect to show you’re still capable.

However, they must accept you- you must earn their respect, and they only choose if willing. And they are not always willing.

One must be prepared to face Hell itself. To prove one is worthy to take the stage, controlling the devil’s magic is key.

It’s important to roll the dice and summon a variety, but one may only tame as many as the power of their sin allows, which, naturally, varies.

And while they’re loyal as determined by one’s rank… / Remember: The ministry comes first.

a little story about belonging i guess that im too scared to put on my main blog. maybe ill call this something cheesy like "in defense of microlabels" lmao sorry if this is rambly and confusing >_<

so like, i've seen posts, like,,, condemning microlabels and hyperspecific xenogenders n whatnot, and this is to assert otherwise i guess

so in posts condemning microlabels, the argument i've seen is that microlabels are dividing the lgbt community. and this is specifically in response to that argument. so...

i always figured my gender was too weird, too confusing, too niche. and when i tried on larger labels that were similar or an umbrella term for the term i coined, i felt like i was an outsider. the less niche label was like a poorly fitted jacket; just a bit too tight in the shoulders, the pockets were just a bit too low to be comfortable, sleeves just slightly too long. uncomfortable.

and so back in august 2023, i decided i wasnt gonna pretend that the other terms were comfotable, and i coined a new thing. i figured that nobody would notice. or that anyone who did notice wouldnt care. but i coined it. made a flag for it. made a tumblr post. even put it on the miraheze lgbt wiki. nobody saw it for a week or two. then i got a like on the tumblr post. and then another and another, and then someone reblogged it saying "oh my gosh that's me!" and then someone messaged me asking about it, saying that they related, and then some more likes, someone redesigned the flag a few months later and coined another term related to it. and there were more likes and more reblogs. more people relating.

and i have Never felt more a part of the lgbt communty than when i saw people saying that they related.

my gender that i thought was too weird always made me feel like an outsider cause i thought nobody related, but then people did. and i felt like i belonged in the lgbt community.

so uh yeah. microlabels and xenogenders are great and actually foster community more than division
