I always see Rey’s nod in the last GIF as her way of acknowledging Ben’s searching gaze— Yes. I just saw that, too.

Rey had many nightmares about Kylo Ren, but tonight…she had a dream about Ben Solo.

Ben: I am afraid!

Rey: Afrad? What could you possibly be afraid of?

Ben: Because I am happy, Rey.

Rey: And that makes you afraid because...?

Ben: I´ve never been allowed to be happy, the universe only lets me be happy when it´s preparing to take something from me.

Rey: You gave up everything. The reign over the galaxy, your power, your every-

Ben: No. You´re my everything and I don´t want you to be taken away from me.

Rey: Don´t worry, I am not that lucky.

Ben: *frowns* Do you-

Rey: Relax, Ben, I wast just joking. I will be here with you. Forever.

Rey is in awe when she first hears Ben Solo´s laugh. The rest of the world fades away as she closes her eyes and focuses on his chuckles which sound like a music to her ears. There´s more to it, though - the way his chest moves, his lips curve and form dimples on his cheeks and the light Rey feels radiating from him through the Force.

Easily, she becomes addicted. She wants more.

This leads to various attempts to make Ben laugh - from silly jokes through grimaces to random attacks where she tickles him. 

Sometimes he lets her, even though he suffers as her tiny fingers trail above his navel, or neck where he´s really ticklish, because he loves to listen to her laughter too. 

Sometimes tables turn and Rey ends up being tickled, squirming, begging for him to stop - that she´d find another way to hear him laugh.

Sometimes these outbursts end with Ben lifting Rey up in the air and kissing her, thanking her for saving him from the darkness and showing him the power of light.
