i love reading percico fics where you can just tell the writer hates will solace. it’ll be like: “percy and nico are being so cute and flirty and in love and here comes WILL TO FUCKING RUIN EVERYTHING WITH HIS DISGUSTING FACE.”

like no hate to the will solace stans, but man the percico shippers are passionate about their favorite little guys.

honestly my favorite part of a bi-coded jason reading of HoO is the scene in BoO where Jason is dying a little bit and thinking about Nico, and Piper is holding him and giving him a look. and Jason in his fatally wounded delirium goes "Oh! Piper can sense when people are heartbroken or whatever. She must be able to tell I'm thinking about Nico. Because Nico is heartbroken 😌 that's what that look is about."

but actually reading the situation for real it just sounds like Piper is giving Jason an "I know what you are" look.

It's kind of insane to me how so many people act like basil has an unhealty obsession with sunny when if you actually play the game, or at least take a glance through the story, you realize that it's actually the complete other way around once you take his adventures in headspace into account

I don't disagree with the fact that basil is attached to Sunny quite a bit and loves him, but ignoring how sunny feels about him feels kind of disingenuous in a way to paint basil as a selfish monster that only cares about sunny who wouldn't do what he did to Mari for any of his other freinds which is just bullshit

Makes sense though when you consider the fact they also blame basil solely for the entire incident

I also can't stand those stories that write future scenes after the truth where he for some reason didn't include the detail that it was him who marked out the photo album and not basil

What’s crazy is that Nico di Angelo is one of the kindest characters in the whole riordanverse but talking about it or portraying that part of him is considered a sin by the general fandom…

my hot death sibs take is that it is a futile effort to try and give them any kind of "older/younger sibling" dynamic. they were born within a month of one another and after Hazel is revived they're still only like a year apart and are peers on every level. just give them a twins-like dynamic, cause that's the closest to what they have. the only time one of them being older (Hazel) ever is relevant/comes up is when theyre poking fun at one another. boom problem solved.

by far the uncomfiest victim of rick's "pair the spares" mentality is tyson/ella. like why did he do that. that is a cyclops child and an immortal harpy. we could have gone all our lives without this ship. i get that they both have experience as outcasts and misfits but god could it not have been platonic? there is not a single scene between them that doesn't feel weird af in the later books.
