can u do a sequel for pre(dator)y where they couldn't forget each other and when they met again eventually they fall in love with each other pleasee, thank u <3
OH HELLO IM GLAD YOU ENJOYED IT!!! THANK YOUUU and im very honoured by the question because it means you care enough about the characters to wish a happy ending for them
BUT anon let me hold your hand when i say this; they were never meant to be together forever
// spoiler for a sequel that doesn't exist and explanation for pre(dator)y
the only possible happy ending for chan is when he accepts that he'll have to live with only seeing the vampire's face when he looks at himself in the mirror and learns that he doesn't hate his face or his voice or his existence because someone who looks and sounds like him once found him desirable
the vampire, while being a very physical thing, is also a manifestation of his darkest desires and psyche because chan himself always sees his physicalities as a separate thing from his identity. through their encounters he is forced to confront himself, like standing in front of the world's most brutal mirror (literally and figuratively), and finding his reflection forgivable and eventually loveable
a world where they keep meeting means chan never reconciles with his self hatred. but that's not what happens. the vampire will eventually leave him and it will be a bittersweet moment. but chan will be okay

the (ongoing fic): pre(dator)y

the original drabble: the prey and the predator
People say it's bad luck if you ever meet your own doppelganger. So when Chan passes by someone (or something) that feels eerily like staring at himself in the mirror, he feels a shiver run down his spine. It certainly does not help that the other person/thing is staring back at him. It's one white eye burning a hole into his skull.
And it is bad luck. Really bad luck.
Because Chan can't find any other way to describe what sort of fortune has brought him to his knees on the dingy carpeted floor of a motel room, acting not like himself on a thing that looks a lot like himself.
When the creature forces him to lie face down onto the bed, one hand creeping underneath him and clawing its way up his chest to his chin to lift his face, he feels the pulse of his heartbeat in his throat, thrumming against the creature's sharp claws.
"Look up." The creature does not say, but Chan hears it clear as day in his mind. He clenches his jaw to keep his teeth from chattering, and opens his eyes.
He's expected to see the murderous odd eyes staring into his soul, or his fangs inches away from making permanent marks on his skin for a more permanent result, or simply that creature looking wickedly at him like he's a prey completely under the mercy of his predator.
But he must've missed it when he was first dragged into this room. Didn't have the time to check his bearing before he was brought to his knees or into the bed.
He didn't see the mirror.
But now he does. Now he's staring at the reflection of himself, face decorated with tear streaks, spit and blood. The creature does not appear in the mirror. But Chan can feel the full weight of him on his back, under his skin. If he tilts his head back he can see the creature drooling at the sight of his open mouth.
What he really wants to do is close his eyes. But whenever his eyelids fall too heavy, he feels sharp fangs burying themselves into his shoulder. The closer he gets to fully getting rid of the image of himself being ruined, the worse the pain gets. It's a warning.
So he keeps them open through gritted teeth, through heavy breathing, through bleeding. Watches himself lose it as if there is no other audience but him. As if he's doing all this to himself.
Like he enjoys it. Enjoys the feeling of watching and of being watched. Enjoys the feeling of being the prey succumbing to an identical predator.
They say meeting your doppelganger is bad luck. But Chan can't say if he agrees anymore.

This particular Volume of Cherry Magic has me in much more tears compared to others~🥺😩😆😭😭😭🧘♀️ I always find myself loving Kurosawa for how sweet and lovely he can be but this time i found I can relate to him just a tiny bit as a person who hates relying on other people too as i think my existence itself might be an inconvenience to someone somewhere [too much of a coward to off myself though sorry lmao😆]
But how amazing must it feel to actually have someone with you who would willing catch you when you are about to fall~😭😭😭
they are so sweet to each other! UGH I LOVE THEM!!!!!😩
oh kurosawa!!!🥺🥺🥺
[nothing makes me more happy than being able to use this gif to describe my favorite characters]
ALSO DAMN ADACHI TAKING CHARGE FOR A MOMENT THERE FGHJKL;🧘♀️
I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT VOLUME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need more time and motivation to finish this fic agusjalald
He wanted to get closer, perhaps even offer an awkward hug. They’d been doing that a lot since last night. But considering that he only had a towel on, he thought it was a bit inappropriate. “Um, can I get some spare clothes?”
That seemed to snap Shirahama out of his trance and he absentmindedly shrugged off the shirt from his shoulder and handed it to him. He took it without a word, still trying to gauge what he was thinking about while putting it on. It was slightly damp, but he didn’t complain.
He did worry for one second that Shirahama was going to give him the pants that he was wearing next, but thankfully he simply walked to his clean pile and threw him a pair of sweatpants instead.
Blinking twice, Shirahama finally seemed aware of his surroundings again, looking back and forth between his bare torso and Kayashima’s now clothed one. “Why did I do that?”
“Beats me.”

okay but third year Kageyama, Hinata and Yachi realizing they're actually Tsukishima's friends
Hinata freaking out because he can't find a black pen before a big test and Tsukishima wordlessly handing him two spares (in case one is almost dry) and telling him to smarten up but not actually making a big deal about it.
Yachi going over to his house to study with him and Yamaguchi and having a genuinely good time and yeah Tsukki makes fun of the bow she has in her hair but he also laughs at her jokes so... they end up playing Mario Party until like 1 am and he doesnt even complain about it.
Tsukishima showing up at Kageyama's house looking really annoyed and saying his brother is home for the holidays and is pestering him about college and the future and hey, do you want to go throw a ball around?
Kageyama, Yachi and Hinata all receive a birthday gift on time that year, neatly wrapped, and even if theyre simple gifts they're all *real* gifts and not one of them is a joke gift or a prank and they have to host a meeting to go through all of the options of why Tsukki's behaviour has changed until Hinata realizes what's happening and starts shrieking because FUCK YEAH I DID IT. TAKE THAT SUCKER. GET FRIENDED.
