My hot take is that trans men from conservative rural areas tend to be a lot more grounded and socially aware than those from progressive cities.
The most empathetic trans men I've met have known some kind of struggle or resistance regarding their identities while growing up. The most entitled, out of touch ones had their mommies and daddies paying for T and couldn't comprehend why I wanted to be stealth, why I couldn't just refuse to answer to my parents using my birth name, why I couldn't just accept my body while they were already on their way to perfecting theirs.
Not saying that every privileged trans man is a whiny asshole but there is a clear trend.

Whenever I get one of those corny sigma male motivation edits on my fyp that's just clips of jacked dudes doing manly shit to earsplitting hardstyle, I become seized with the need to make one for trans men. I'm never escaping the "straying into forcemasc territory" allegations
#obligatory reminder that i am not into forcemasc as a kink i just fuck with the thought process behind it heavily#trans man#trans male#forcemasc#sigma motivation

Obligatory I'm-not-into-forcemasc-I-just-fuck-with-this-sentiment-ferociously
People who get hung up on the fact that forcemasc sometimes focuses on the destruction of femininity don't understand that trans men and butches do not find femininity liberating. We're told our entire life to shut up and close our legs. We're punished for living as our authentic selves and rewarded for putting up a facade. For what? For the comfort and perceived safety of others. At best, we're told that who we really are should be kept behind closed doors, away from the public eye, away from impressionable "women" and children who might want what we have!
For me, femininity is oppression. It is a cage. Masculinity is freedom. It's my freedom. I'm a man and I deserve it. I need a partner who understands that.

I think the reason why I have a healthy respect for Forcemasc Tumblr, despite not being into it, is that in a world of "best of both worlds...submissive wombman boypussy boycunt boytits bottom..." gooners there is a subset of freaks that loves and celebrates completely cutting any association with your AGAB and becoming hairy and audacious and aggressively masculine.
It doesn't feel demeaning and dysphoria-inducing like the majority of FTM nsfw content I run across on the internet. I don't like the fetish aspect but I love the attitude. There is so little of that brash and in-your-face YES! BE A FUCKING MAN! ASSOCIATION WITH WOMANHOOD IS A PRISON AND WE WILL BREAK EACH OTHER OUT! FLATTEN ALL WHO TRY TO STOP YOU energy for trans men and mascs in this world. Turning motivation into a kink is such a funny concept but ykw hell yeah.

The different aliases he goes by are just him trying out different names. He goes to multiple LGBT support groups but doesn't feel at ease in any of them, but keeps going out of desperation to feel some kind of connection to a community. Robert Paulson has been on T for years but can't afford top surgery and it's tearing him apart.
It's also crucial to The Narrator's character that he starts his journey with the horrible bob adjacent "pixie cut" that nearly every other closeted white trans man got stuck with at some point. Getting a fresh trim is one of the first trials he must overcome.
Pointless Fight Club AU where everything is the same except Tyler Durden is a fully transitioned trans man and the Narrator meets him while pre-everything and still struggling with feeling the need to supress his masculinity. Instead of soap he and Tyler run a gray market t gel operation. Is this anything

(Not a lady, so this isn’t a defensive thing) Why do you dislike fujoshis? It honestly just seems like sexism—If a woman enjoys pairings between men, who is anyone to stop her? The hate toward fujos seems ridiculous because you’re clearly holding m/m relationships to a completely different standard from anything else. Would you be upset if a woman liked an m/f or f/f pairing? Why is it specifically an issue when it’s m/m? /genuine question
There's nothing wrong with being a Destiel girlie or drawing Gojo and whatever the other dudes name is kissing. There's nothing wrong with being a girl and writing MLM content (unless you're Annie Proulx it's liable to be incredibly disconnected from the queer male experience, but some do in fact cook). And I'm chill with yall! You're respectful, you're creative, I fuck with the hustle.
But it gets to a point. Some of you get a little too cumbrained with it, and some of you go further and drag real men into your fantasies. And those are the ones who are why I am side eyeing anyone who specifically labels themselves a fujoshi. There's a difference in my mind between women who create/enjoy mlm content, and fujoshis. And that difference is the behavior of being a porn addict.
Key phrase: DRAGGING REAL MEN INTO YOUR PORN ADDICTION.
You're not an oppressed group in society for thinking men fucking is hot. You're not owning the patriarchy by objectifying an already oversexualized and marginalized group. You know how lesbians are grossed out by straight men gooning to made-for-men "girl on girl"? Try using that as a comparison.
You're even weirder towards trans men, because we're a convenient target. We're already treated as femboy twinks or a lesser class of men, and in my experience the line between yaoi gooner and tr*nny chaser is thin and frayed.
"Oh, but this doesn't have any real world impact!" I was sexually assaulted by a classmate who was one, have been sexually harassed by them in every fandom space I've been in since I came out of the closet, I think I'm perfectly justified in my uneasiness around y'all. I've got friends with stories of getting sexually harassed at cons, groped, offered money to kiss their partner in front of them, or some freak in art class projecting their fantasies onto them.
If you want people to stop hating on your "community" so bad, hold your buddies accountable when they start going too far. LISTEN if the type of people you're gooning to tell you you're doing something wrong. And don't act so shocked when you make your entire personality getting your rocks off to a demographic and that demographic finds it uncomfortable.
Probably disorganized as fuck since I had a long day at work but I hope I got my point clearly across.

Trans men don't need to center cis women in their lives to be worthy of being treated fairly actually. I'm not prioritizing your comfort and opinions on my body and how you think I should express my gender before my health and well being. I don't need to be aligned with femininity to be worthy of basic respect. Act right

Unknown writer to FTM INTERNATIONAL lamenting the loss of space for binary men, 1991.
The magazine was, predictably, not empathetic to his feelings of alienation and invalidation and Jeff got hit with the classic "well we ALLLL USED TO BE WOMEN so erm shut up you will never be a cis man and you should learn to love yourself".
The exchange could be right out of a tiktok comment section. Same shit, different century.
#side note its likely that It's likely that a good bit of the “women” Jeff refers to were not women but nonbinary#dunno if the term was in common circulation in the 90s#but jeffs point still stands#ftm history#trans male#trans man#binary man#ftm#i do think general transmasc spaces are important but there are struggles binary men face that are incredibly different from those who aint#and we need to be able to have that without being accused of internalized transphobia or any of the other buzzwords of the day#kid rants#guys bein dudes

Hate trans male stereotypes with all my heart, but very much love the distinct subset of us who are big into Fight Club. Because hell yeah. The Narrator is Literally Me Bro. In my head Fight Club is a story about dysphoria, the repressed masculinity and anger that comes with it, and unhealthy coping mechanisms. It's accidental trans cinema. Also I like men.
