So all the hate Lando has been getting is actually showing me how people hold him to insanely high standards. The guy has finished on the podium in each race in a car that was (confirmed by Andrea Stella) really against his driving style. his 'bad weekend' is a P3, so I don't know about y'all but thats still fine?

This year, and last year, showed how he can never be good enough to people who hate him in the first place. Even if he wins theres the argument that "oh but he could have crashed the car there because of that one error! he didn't, but he could've"

I'm just going to enjoy my Mclaren boys racing as thats why i'm watching the sport. Racing. Not the hatred and "who said what" and rumours/lies spread about drivers behind the scenes by fans who have no idea who these people really are.

So... I found out that it's not actually that scary to post things! So, this is a little thing I drew of Danny Ric a while ago!

It may not look like it but there are SO MANY tears on this paper.

This lil guy is based off of @zolica-ao3 's Fic The Tales They Tell About Us and if you somehow haven't read it yet, read it! It's a beautiful masterpiece.

You know what I want?

To go on vacation with a bunch of other writers. Mutuals and strangers.

So we can eat breakfast together while we share fic ideas. Everyone chills together, all equipped with our laptops and a notebook.

You read someone's freshly written scenes while you steal their M&Ms, and they will give you some pointers on your kidfic.

And in the moments we all need some inspiration we walk on the beach together.

The best stories are shared at night around the campfire.

Life is peaceful, life is good.

I want that.

How do you deal with writers block? If you have it, at least, because very few people update weekly.

Wait, it's rare to update weekly? I thought that was like... The norm...

I haven't experienced writers block (yet) luckily. But I do experience something I like to call "writers annoyance", where you're stuck and don't know how to go further.

Like, you wrote a sentence that takes you somewhere you don't know how to get out of. Or a part in the story that stops interesting you after a while.

For me it was the shopping trip... At the end of it I was SO DONE with it. I wanted them to go home and be all domestic again. But noooo they had to go grocery shopping as well.

So I decided to write the shopping trip with less detail, only highlighting the parts I wanted the readers to know: Oscar not being allowed to buy fish, Lando complaining about which veggies to buy, and Luka apparently having no dislikes except broccoli.

Compared to the other stores they went to, I glanced over the shopping trip quickly to keep myself engaged.

But sometimes I can get so stuck on a part I can't get any further. I tend to set a mental timer for myself. 15 minutes. If nothing comes out of my hands during that time I stop writing for a bit and go play video games for a while or something.

I just stare at my word document for 15 minutes, reread the sentences before then, try new sentences to get out of it... If nothing happens I accept my fate and exit the word document for a bit. This usually helps.

Oh! And if I get really stuck, I sometimes just write out very shortly (and in a different color) what I want to happen in that chapter. I then have more of an overview of where I want to go next.

How do I get from A to B? What do I need them to do or say? Is there something else that needs to happen?

And sometimes I just throw away the sentence(s) that made me get stuck in the first place and start over.

The most important thing is to keep having fun and remember that your readers will love your story anyway. Don't get discouraged by possibly bad sentences. Highlight them for later scrutiny and move on. Like when you're taking an exam and one of the questions is so confusing you're like "aight, I will try again later".

Also, if you're not having fun writing at that moment, please stop. Don't force yourself. Try again later when you're more in the writing mindset.

You can't pressure creativity!

Mctwinkdom doesn't read or write kid fics, so it's not exactly my cup of tea...

BUT! I must admit this picture is adorable and it makes me think of landoscar's little family.

Lando would be the fun dad, always finding new activities for the kids, tossing them in the air (causing Oscar a few heartstrokes), not scared of getting paint, makeup and food in his hair and all over his clothes if it means making his little ones happy and spending time with them. Oscar would be the most serious, kind and gentle dad, would never use a baby voice because he'd rather speak to his kids like they're tiny humans he just needs to guide through life and he would do it so patiently and kindly. He's condisered less "fun" than Lando because he forces their kids to eat actual vegetables (god knows they would survive on pizza if Lando was the boss around there, thankfully he's not), and is a bit more strict with bedtime and home rules, but he always make sure to explain why Dad and Papa have set these rules and why they're important.

Very functional and balanced family life just like landoscar are as a partnership 👌
