Oh wow @abalonetea ! Thank you for the shout out! Also, while I started reading your stuff through the I Drowned in the Summer of 85, I’m about to plunge into the God is Dead series! So excited!

As for writing to get into…

My first indie book experience was with Our Bloody Pearl by DN Bryn, though I haven’t read the rest of the series, book one was good! (I found them here on tumblr)

So as for writblrs I know, @akiwitch never stops pumping out books-first with the ghost punch series, and now with a few new to come ideas with a real life publisher! Le gasp! The dream!

And I’m definitely keeping my eyes peeled for anything from @lavender-laney and the work Choking on Sea Salt! Such a cool premise!

(I’ve been quiet for a while bc of some personal stuff but the muse has struck again as of late, so I will be trying to start posting more about my recent writing!)

I know that lesbian is also a word that can refer to someone from the island of lesbos and when Herodotus says that a king “sent his lesbians” to do something he’s referring to soldiers from lesbos

At one time, I was really into Skyrim crafts. I tried to make something that would complement my interior and remind me of my favourite game and universe. The bottles are made of papier-mâché. There are some flaws, but the works are old enough to be forgiven. (I should have just made a collage...)

How do I not know what county London is in? Is London in a county???

personally i think there should have been at least one episode where sokka collects aang and zuko and is like, “looks like we’re running low on supplies.  time for a GUYS-ONLY field trip.  three days of hunting and fishing and polishing our swords.  y’know, manly warrior stuff.  (aang, sotto voce: actually sokka i’m a vegetarian as you know–)  you girls have fun sitting around braiding your hair and talking about your crushes” and then the entire episode is just zuko and sokka lying around by a river, plucking blades of grass and staring up at the stars confiding in each other their deepest feelings and most secret insecurities while aang braids flower crowns, and whenever the screen cuts back to katara and toph and suki, they’re fighting and screaming and hacking away at river pirates and evil spirits and legions of assassins and hired mercenaries with swords.  you know, as girls do.

and when the boys finally drag themselves back to camp (they stayed up way too late discussing what true leadership really means and whether or not power always corrupts)  they find suki and toph and katara lounging around with black eyes and fresh bruises and bloodstained weapons and sokka shrieks, “what were you guys DOING while we were gone???”  and karata just shugs innocently and says in her sweetest voice, “oh, you know.  just girly things”
