Ignorance Is Amiss

My pen bleeds the pain I harbour within My friends in high school would say "ignorance is bliss" but every ignorance has a twist Like if someone shows me a fist And I decide to turn a blind eye on it, that's not bliss, that's being a coward We've been ignoring a lot of things around us, like how we are expected to crawl even when we know we can walk In fact we've walked before, but that's before our olders and friends chased trends and became a foe Thats before we mixed dreams and gin without a bartender so we're overdosed on gin instead of dreams I mean that's before my high school girlfriend ignored my love and dumped me for my mathematics scores She loved maths, like sometimes she'd call me in the middle of the night and beg me to count the stars I see But now she's counting the scars perching on her soul And when I told her she missed one star, she'd say, I should go back to bed But I'm a star, even during the day See, I can see that people are ignoring the amiss in this When you ignore the bliss, you're missing the bigger picture, amiss Alas, When you ignore something you're allowing a room for your own disappointment as much you think the second person is affiliated Most are even aggravated This is a picture so allow the artistry, When you blue tick your lover as a form of revenge, do you see any bliss there Or you actually embarking on a road to miss The only bliss Your life The only time ignorance becomes a bliss is when the devil whispers on your ear and you don't do whatever has been whispered But blue ticks and deliberate actions towards those who love you isn't at all a bliss Like, You lose what matters Like my dad when he ignored the car shop's bill in a drill They took his Beemer Ignorance may be light as much as it may be a dimmer I'm being real.
