i think when he hears the machine buzz that's him being 'snapped awake' from his twisted violent haze. he runs to the machine to take the ichor to try to prevent anyone else being ruined by it. his grief tearing him apart makes himtry to make good on his past mistakes and inaction and Loss of all of his friends but Ultimately it's too late and he's only hurting himself more in the end.

He takes as much as he can before he loses his sanity entirely.

the biggest thing i take away from rgu is even if i mess up a lot and get hurt a lot and burn bridges and sabotage the people who are trying to save me that i know i can leave and live a better life. And the second biggest thing is being butch is awesome

to see the Doctor opening up about the events of the Flux and the revelation of the Timeless Child, to have him think for a moment that his best friend shared those memories and that he had someone he could share the burden with, someone that could understand his pain and his fear, and then to have that taken away from him, to have that turn into a weapon to terrorise him... as much as it hurt, as cruel and heartbreaking as it was, i think it was brilliantly written, because that moment where we thought the Doctor was being comforted didn't feel earned. Donna having those memories wouldn't be as meaningful as having the Doctor willingly opening up. in order to heal, he needs to talk about it, to willingly share those memories in his own terms. Donna tries to get him to talk at the end, she is so gentle in the way she asks, trying to make him feel comfortable enough to share, but the weight of those memories and the cruelty of the being in the spaceship make him hold back again, but at least he's honest in how long it would take him to heal, and that alone shows how much he's grown and it shows that with time he'll be able to really open up and start to heal

Spoilers: Severance S2E10 (finale)

One more thought: I read through a bunch of takes from people who hated the finale/felt mixed, and mostly filed them under "we watch tv differently" (and sometimes under "you seem to have misunderstood the premise of the show, good sir"). It does feel like one or two lines of dialogue between Mark S and Gemma (“give him back!” or something) could have made a big difference for how people interpreted the final scene? Like make it clear Gemma knows he's an innie? But that would have lowered the emotional intensity, so I can see why they didn't.

And. The best tragedies are where the outcome is inevitable, either because of a fundamental part of the protagonist's character that they cannot overcome, or because there's an immutable thing in the world (the law, a force of nature, etc) that someone battles but it's literally impossible to win against. Tragedy is when the final domino topples and you realize there was no way to stop it from falling. This was such perfect tragedy. The chip in your brain is unfightable (in that moment), and Mark's gonna Mark. I loved this take from @yesitsterriblysimple:

What's ur interpretation of that flower man? And what do you think people get wrong about him?

I think dandy is a guy who cannot let go of what he had before. I think back in the day he'd give tours to visitors and point out little quirks about this and that & the building, he still sort of subconsciously does that now. he's walking w his friends and he talks abt things he would to visitors...although with a more casual tone.

He's also very silly!! I think he loves to see his friends smile and he loves to chat and dance with them. The "Danc" part of his Dancifer name makes me think that. I think he'd be so cute and epic if he was a good dancer. He's very good at carrying a conversation if his partner doesn't feel like saying much, i think he's good at avoiding awkwardness if i make sense.

I think he gets a little huffy when he doesn't get his way in normal circumstances but ultimately he'll be fine. What's not fine is when his very nature is challenged by being denied the abilirty to relive the past. he is literally made to be a star and be popular and have hundreds of eyes on him and just the toons at gardenview arent enough. the tapes (which i think include behind the scenes, happier simpler days, random vids from arthur+delilah) and full on episodes) help him kind of microdose on that. and we all know what happens when he goes w/out them for too longggg...

oh GOD people get so EVERYTHING wrong about him. mostly upping the ante abt his horrible awful despicable malice. he would not ABUSE astro or shrimpo in relationships or outside of it. he's not an evil mastermind actively seeking to twist his friends (very contradictory to him i feel like?). hes obv not perfect but his wrongdoings are WAY too exaggerated.

there's something a bit sad but also very meaningful about the way Crowley dances around using the word 'couple' during his confession. it's a bit sad because it seems like he's afraid to use that word (perhaps because of the fear of going too fast for Aziraphale, and the strong connotations of that word), but mainly i find it very lovely and meaningful because, instead of using that word, he comes up with terms and expressions of his own to describe what they are (“we're a team, a group. group of the two of us”, “just the two of us”, “just be an us”, “you and me”, “we could have been us”) and to me, those expressions have a stronger and more beautiful meaning than the word 'couple', because just in the same way that they discovered their own humanity, they've also discovered their own form of love, one that goes beyond human standards, and one that is unique to them.

Okay all the WoT costumes are breathtakingly incredible, but this HAT. I'm rabid.

I cannot express how hilarious i think it is. And incredible and I want it, obviously. But also. It's so "i do not have time for melanoma right now thankyouverymuch." Everyone else is in full fantasy garb and she's in this. It's been in multiple episodes now, I die every time.

i will never get over how perfect the Doctor and Rose's ending is. Rose, who made her choice a long time ago and promised to stay with the Doctor forever, who always found a way to return to him no matter how impossible it was, because she loves him and she needs him almost as much as he needs her. Rose, who was willing to sacrifice everything to be with the Doctor so he wouldn't be alone, so he would always have her, and in the end, it was the Doctor who made the sacrifice, who left immortality and his universe behind, who stayed with her in a parallel universe, who chose her to spend his human life with.

the Doctor, who had lost so much and so many people in his life, who often dreamed of having a normal life and growing old with someone, who yearned to have that kind of life with Rose, because he loves her and he needs her, because she's everything he believes in and his hope in his darkest moments, and in the end he finally gets his wish in Tentoo.

it's a perfect ending because they both get their wish, they both get their happy ending and they get to spend the rest of their lives together, and it's also a bittersweet ending because it's a sort of paradox where the Doctor has to go on with and without Rose at the same time. the Doctor and Tentoo are the same man in two different journeys: in one he gets to have the life he's always dreamed of with Rose, and in the other he has to live on without her, but carrying her forever in his hearts and in his memory, and with the comforting knowledge that he is and will always be with her
