Happy Birthday Rintan. I love you.

“Rintan! Look what I got in my hand!” you called out trying to show off what’s inside your hand. He hums, smiling at you as he asks what it is. You giggled with excitement and proudly showed it off. He got a surprised look on his face when he saw it. It's the paper ring that he gave you a long time ago.

You found it inside a box where you keep the things that Suna Rintarou gave you, whether it’s a ticket, a token or even a candy wrapper. It doesn’t matter how small it was as long as it's from him, you will absolutely gonna treasure it like a derp you were. He probably wonders why you kept it when you could have just thrown it away like a normal person but it was you, there’s no way to figure out what exactly is going on inside your head and that is why, although he won’t admit it out loud, it got him so drawn into you.

He always finds you an interesting person ever since you guys were in high school and strange as it may sound, you kind of stood out from the rest. If he’ll dare to describe it, he probably gonna choose the word ‘pro-active’ or ‘hyperactive’ (just because he couldn’t find a perfect word to describe you).

It didn’t even take long for the both of you to be friends and to nobody surprise, suddenly you and him started going out. Some of your friends asked how the hell you manage one Suna Rintarou? Contrary to your personality, He’s the opposite. It’s not like he’s mean or anything that goes along with that line, he’s too quiet and if he’s not playing volleyball, he’s on his phone the entire day. Yeah, he has some friends whom he can hang out with every now and then but no one has seen him let off a huge smile and if he does, it’s within the vicinity of where you are. “Rintan is a good person. Although he may seem cold outside, he actually cares for me a lot.” you said, answering it like a proud lover you are.

Despite his hectic schedule of being an athlete and a student who needs to maintain good grades because of scholarship, he never fails to walk you home or if time won’t permits him, he never fails to walk you to the school gates and apologize for a thousand times on how he couldn’t walk you home before letting you go. Suna is just like that. That is why it brings you such joy and a fuzzy feeling every time you hear someone say how he looks so bored and sleepy all the time. Well, he tends to slack off whenever he gets the chance to do so, it’s one of the bad habits that he possessed even before you met him but what amazed you is that he never slacked off from being your partner.

Of course, you want to reciprocate his efforts by making him bento and giving him your undying support by watching his games. The only time that you two went on an argument was you being petty over something but it’s way of a history now since he knows your soft spot and technically speaking, you can’t stay mad at him anyway.

“Hey Rin, will you ever get tired of me?” you asked out of the blue as you cling to his arm closer. He looked at you dumbfounded but then let off a gentle smile as he asked in return, “Will I?.” You know he was just teasing. You pulled yourself away from him and said as you obviously pout, “What’s that supposed to mean?”. He chuckled and then grabbed your hand, pulling you closer to him gently, “I was just teasing you. You just look so cute when you pout. Ora.. Come here..” he paused and continued, “I will never get tired of you.. Like never. You are all I could ever dream of. I actually feel sorry for you.”

“Eh? Why?” you asked which he answered with, “Because… You're gonna be stuck with me for the rest of our lives.” You giggled upon hearing his answer, “Oh? Is that so?”

“Yeah.” He said as he stole some glances and smiled.

The two of you finally arrived outside your house which means it’s time for him to let go of your hand and say his ‘goodnight.’ You won’t be seeing him for the entire week next week because the volleyball club had it’s away games and you’re feeling sad about it for the reason you can’t go and watch it. You didn’t want to let go of his hand yet and when he noticed how sad you were he pulled something out from his pocket and asked you to close your eyes for a moment which you obediently followed. You feel something from your right finger and then he asks you to open your eyes. There you saw a paper ring..

“I don’t like it when you’re sad. I made that a while ago. It’s a promise ring..or should I say a promise paper ring?. I promise before you know it, I’m already by your side, walking you home. So… will you smile for me now? Please?” He said as he pats your head. You nodded like a kid and then went to jump at him to give him a hug and whispered solemnly, “Alright. Be careful on your way home. Text me once you get home so I know you are safe.” Once you let go, he nodded back at you and asked you to get inside first before he left.

So cringey right? But that is exactly how you feel every time he's away. Tough times for young love and every time you look back at those memories, you can’t help but to smile and to feel actually glad that you somehow manage to keep those things safe until now. Why? Well, it’s because you could embarrass him anytime you want.

It’s been six years since then and now you two are married. He pursues his career as an athlete while you, on the other hand, works as an architect.

It’s Suna’s birthday today and for the first time, you got a perfect gift for him. You asked him to buy some groceries to make him stay out of your way as you were busy preparing for his surprise. You take your time decorating the living room and while he is away, you manage to cook a simple dish. Of course, you wouldn’t forget his favorite jelly fruit stick for dessert. You bring out the cake that Osamu secretly delivered to you last night and turn off all the lights.

You heard some footsteps at your front door, a sign that he’s home. He tried calling out your name and you can tell from his voice that he’s worried when he doesn't hear you answer. Once he turns on the lights, you are there singing him a happy birthday song as you light out the candles from the cake.

“Happy birthday Love. Make a wish first before you blow the candles.” You said with a smile on your face.

He closed his eyes and after a few minutes he blew the candles out, “You didn’t have to but.. Thank you, love. Thank you so much for everything.” he said, taking the cake out of your hands, putting it to the table and then giving a soft sweet kiss.

“One more thing..” you said as you made him sit down, grabbing a box from the side table, “Here’s my gift.. I hope you’ll like it. Open it!” you continued.

When he opens it, his tears suddenly fall down to his cheeks, “Is this real? You aren’t pranking me?” he asked, taking the two positive pregnancy tests and baby shoes out from the box. You didn’t notice that you were crying as well, not because you are sad but from overwhelming happiness. You are two weeks pregnant and to think that it was actually before his birthday when you got the result is truly what you called ‘a perfect gift.’

“Yeah.. Happy birthday Love.” You tearfully answered and said.

He got up from the couch and hugged you as tightly but carefully as he could, “Thank you.. Thank you so much for giving me the best gift ever. You made my wish come true..”

“What did you wish for?”

“A one happy family.” he answered as he pulled away slowly from the hug and now giving you the warmest long passionate kiss he could ever do.

You and Your one Kita Shinsuke

It’s quite a surprise and it still amazes you when you start dating one, Kita Shinsuke. You still feel like it was just yesterday when you saw him smile for the first time. It was during your senior year at Inarizaki High.

Kita was not a kind of person who would openly smile at anyone which made him a peerless elite if one might say but that didn’t stop you from admiring him from afar. Some of your friends will ask you ‘why? Why him?’ saying how there's a lot of guys who are much more attractive and friendlier than him but you simply answered them with, “Why not?”. It’s not like you're so pretty to choose whoever you want and even if you are, you would certainly choose Kita over and over again.

This choice happened when you were running in wanting to catch up with your teacher so that you could hand in your report but your lizard brain didn’t think that you might end up injured if you hadn't avoided the wall and landed on it. Instead you bumped to someone who you didn't notice walking along the same path as you earlier. You thought you would fall but when you opened your eyes, you saw this person. It happened so fast and all that you can remember was him holding your waist, preventing you from falling off the ground.

You get so flustered and embarrassed, pulling yourself away, bowing your head when you realize who this person is. It’s Kita Shinsuke from class 3-7, the student who achieved excellent scores in all of his test papers and school activities. The honor student, Kita Shinsuke. “I’m so sorry! Kita-san. I didn’t see you... I was-” you stutter explained.

“Are you hurt?” He asked, face still wearing his usual stiff expressionless self but you had the chance to look at him in his eyes. Not to brag about it, but you know how to read one person’s personality just by looking at them in the eyes and you know that instant, Kita is a nice and dependable type of guy. You shook your head and apologized for the trouble that you caused him.

He shakes his head saying that you didn’t trouble him but he reminded you not to run within the vicinity of the school ground as it may lead you to an accident like this. You bowed your head again stating how sorry you are and you will absolutely take note of this.

And for the first time, you saw that smile. That smile that will change how you see him, a smile that will change your perspective about him. As he walks away, your lips curve into a smile with flushed cheeks as you say to yourself, ‘Kita-san, sure is nice..’

From there, you always made sure that you watched every game that the volleyball team had. It doesn’t matter if it was just a practice or an exhibition game. Although Kita rarely enters the court to play, you know that he, as the captain, really boosts the team's confidence. Kita’s presence is something else. Like a talisman or a good luck charm(but only you would think this) because you know and heard some members of the team talking about how strict he was as a captain. Kita is the only person who can make everyone get their shit together inside and outside of the court. He started noticing you when he saw you cheering at the bleachers. You cheered so loud for him, of course it would be too hard not to notice you. You blushed the hell out of you, when your eyes and his eyes met and your heart almost jumped out of your chest when he gave you that smile again. The kind of smile that he gives when you are around that you almost thought that’s the smile he only wears only for you.

The two of you, as if natural, get closer to each other. He made sure that you wouldn’t skip lunch and even help you out with your failing grades. If you get lucky enough, he will walk with you to your house just to make sure you are safe. Kita Shinsuke is perfect and nobody could tell you otherwise. He’s perfect regardless of what other people say.

Everyone would be so jealous and envious of you if they were given a chance to take a peek of that smile that Kita let out every time you tell him how handsome he was or to hear him laugh when you tell him the crappiest joke but you would never gonna allow anyone to see and hear that. You are selfish even though you can’t call him ‘mine’.

“Why are you so mad today? Did I do something wrong?” Kita asked you. You have been hella annoyed when you saw him accepting another girl’s gift earlier. It’s Valentine's day and you want him to stand still and do nothing at all but to accept your homemade chocolate that you took all night to prepare. And to think that you have been waiting for him for exactly 15 minutes just to see him accepting someone’s chocolate … He's gonna be kidding you.. You are so pissed and decided to let him be.

Although Kita is a very smart, nice and dependable kind of guy, he could also be the stupidest guy ever in the whole wide world. (at least not on academically or being street wise stupid.) The guy is just too dense, to not be able to tell and understand how you feel. Should you try to put it out into words? Nah, scrap that. You can’t even look him straight in the eyes without getting so flustered. You look so red all over your face as you fidget your fingers and he actually mistook it as a fever that he carried you on his back and wouldn’t put you down despite you telling him to do so. He’s just too stupid like that sometimes, that you wanted to smack him down already.

“Nothing.. Go and talk to the girl who has given you that chocolate earlier. Sorry for disturbing your precious time.” you sarcastically answer, pouting your lips, rolling your eyes as you shrug your shoulders.

Kita covered his mouth and looked away from you in an attempt to hold his laughter back. You squint your eyes hard so hard on him as you can’t believe that he actually finds something funny in your annoyances, “Are you laughing at me just now? Wow Shinsuke-kun.”

You don’t call him by his given name but you usually call him with your made up nickname just for him, it could be ‘Shin-shin’ or could be ‘Shinkin’ and if you called him ‘Shinsuke’, that could only mean one thing.. You are mad and already planning on how to kill him.

You huff your cheeks and about to walk out on him when he grabbed your arms and hugged you as he says, “Calm down will ya? It’s not for me.. The girl you saw earlier requested that I give her chocolates to Aran-kun. I’m sorry for laughing okay? I’m actually waiting for you the entire day..”

Your head is spinning that you almost wanted to faint as your heart skips a beat. You wanted to say something but it seems like no words can escape your lips. You have been waiting for this but you anticipated that Kita would actually do something like this to you.

He pulls away slowly as he gives you that smile, that smile that you know is just for you., “So, Can I have my chocolate now?”

“Only because you insist!.” you yelled, trying to hide your flustered face as you handed him the box of chocolates. You finally decided that today will be the day you gonna make him yours. You straighten your posture as your gulp to finally say the words that you have meaning to say to him, “Shin-kun.. I like you..”.

You finally said it, bowing your head as you didn’t want him to see your face. It was so red that it practically showed steam over your head. Your nervous heart can’t take the silence anymore, what were you thinking anyway? There’s no way one Kita Shinsuke could like you back. He’s just nice that he puts up with you all this time.. You are just stupid to think that it was something.. You were about to cry when he touched your face, pulling your chin back up..

And you were a little surprised when you saw his face probably mirroring the same face as you had but he never took his stares away from you, “Don’t you cry at me now.. Whatever you were thinking, that’s not it.. You caught me a little off guard that’s why I couldn’t say anything but.. I also wanted to say something to you.. For a little while now… I like you.. I always have, ever since the day I first saw you. So.. Will you go out with me?” he asked as he rubbed the back of his neck, nervously waiting for your answer.

You never saw him get nervous before as he always says that there’s nothing to be nervous about with the things you usually do daily. So seeing him like this, you knew that he never did this before and this is the first time he said something like this.

You giggled and smiled at him, “Okay.. I’ll do you a favor… I’ll go out with you.” you said which made him smile right back at you and that is how you got yourself one ‘Kita Shinsuke’.

Your body still aches from delivering your new born baby and just opening your eyes with the view that you would love to look at for the rest of your life. It’s been seven years already after that day and you still can’t believe that the man in front of you, who is now cradling your baby in his arms, is the father of your child and your husband.

When Kita noticed you were awake, he approached you slowly, trying not to wake up your son who already looks like him and took a seat beside you on your hospital bed, “You did a great job love, just look how perfect this tiny human is. Thank you for making me the luckiest and the happiest man in the entire world.” he said, tears falling in his eyes.

You wipe it away with your hand, slightly gazing at your ring finger where your wedding ring shines, as you said, “You will be a great father to our baby as you are a great husband to me. Thank you for making me the luckiest and happiest woman in the entire world.”

With those words that bring comfort to your other half, you knew how imperfect Kita was and even though he's not perfect as other people proclaimed him to be, you wouldn’t change anything.. Because for you… He’s imperfect but he’s your Kita Shinsuke.

Only Exception

Atsumu is tired of and doesn't want to believe in love anymore. Every time he lets himself fall for someone he always ends up getting hurt, cheated on and left alone. It’s the cycle he didn’t want to go through anymore. He might as well grow old all by himself while he drinks a hot coffee on his porch someday. It would be fine, he doesn’t need anyone. In anyways, he can still just annoy Osamu if he gets bored.

When he thought he had actually made up his mind, he met Shouyou once again. The last time he saw the small middle blocker with ginger hair was during their senior year at Nationals. He heard from Tobio and Bokuto that Shouyou decided to go to Rio(a country on the other side of the world) and play beach volleyball instead, which maybe not a bad thing really. He always keeps tabs of the boy's whereabouts just because he couldn’t forget him, not with that amazing passion and bottomless hunger to play volleyball that the boy has that haunted him all those years. There’s no way he can forget Shouyou, not when he made the promise that he will definitely set for him one day.

“Hi, Miya-san! It was nice seeing you again!” the gingered boy greeted with a beaming smile on his face. A smile that almost blinded him that he thought he was directly looking at the sun. It seems nothing has changed with Shouyou except his tanned skin that shows some freckles on his face and his very toned and well built body build. Rio indeed does him good. Who lets Shouyou be so hot and sexy that he almost forgot that they aren’t alone and everyone is looking at them.

“Shouyou-kun. We’re gonna be teammates. I prefer that you call me Atsumu or else I won’t set the ball to you.” he said, disrupting his thoughts in his head when Bokuto hit him in the back. Shouyou hesitates for a second, not sure if he can do that because he thinks it would be rude but then, if Atsumu prefers and says it’s alright for him to do so then it wouldn’t be a problem,  “Alright, Atsu..Atsumu-san.” Shouyou said as he let off a ridiculous perfect smile that Atsumu wished that he would always see.

Wait… Pause for a moment… What did he just wish? Hold on.. He thought to himself as he shook his head. There’s no time for him to fall for someone nor like someone. Even if he does, he would rather pick up a stone and thwack it directly to his head.

' It's too dangerous to be around with Shouyou' he warns himself and from then on, he always gets his guards up, not letting the embodiment of the sun tear down his high walls. He must protect his heart now because he can no longer allow himself to be careless and get himself hurt once again. Seriously, who invented love anyway?

Osamu is getting really annoyed by his constant yapping over Shouyou whom he said that he didn’t like but can’t shut his trap out ever since Shouyou joined the Black Jackals.

“What the fuck is wrong with you this time?” Osamu annoyingly asked as he handed a plate of onigiris to Atsumu, who started banging his head on the table, “Eat and get lost. You are bad for the business.”

“You should comfort me instead of insulting the hell out of me everytime I come here.. I’m your ‘twin brother’ for fuck sake.” He demanded as if it wasn’t obvious how pathetic he looks while he sulks, giving Osamu a major headache. He was about to say something to his dumb blonde twin when someone open the store door.

Osamu and him, in unison, look at the door to see who is coming in. Oh and speaking of the devil, it was Shouyou. Atsumu strengthened his posture and tried to act cool while Osamu greeted the ginger boy. Shouyou looks at them with a confused face as he says, “Did I interrupt something? Sorry.. I-” which Atsumu quickly cut off, flinching his hands in the air, “You didn’t. Me and this shithead are just having our usual conversation. Nothing special.” Osamu ignored his insult as he squinted his eyes on him. Atsumu squinted his eyes back at his twin, delivering a message that says, ‘ Don’t you dare try to say shit to Shouyou-kun or I will commit arson on your fucking store.’

Osamu rolled his eyes at him and told Shouyou to take a seat, “I have a special one here that I wanted you to try out, Shouyou-kun. Would you like to try it out?”

“Oh sure.. I’m hungry and would love to be your guinea pig Osamu-san.” Shouyou answered brightly and took a sit beside Atsumu. He was so overwhelmed by the sun's presence that he couldn't even utter a single word.

“Atsumu-san, are you alright?”

“Of course I am more than alright. Want to do extra training later?”

“Yes, sure!! That would be great! I actually want to try something new with you.”

‘ Something new? What does that supposed to mean Shou-kun?’. He thought that he almost choked up while he was drinking his water. He knows what Shouyou means, he does. It was just his gay compulsiveness that's thinking.

Shouyou is so kind to him and he feels like he was treating him more differently than the others. He knows that it was wrong for him to give meaning to every Shouyou’s actions but how can he look the other way, when the bright sunshine human being is slowly consuming him?. He didn’t want this. Not anymore.

Osamu asked him this once, “You keep saying you’re done with love as if everyone and everybody that goes your way will only hurt you. What if someone comes and that someone is willing to prove that they’re not like the others, wouldn't it be a waste to let it go? You’re already concluding something that has not even started yet.” His twin can be rude and a jerk often but sometimes, Osamu surely knows how to open his mouth and say things that he didn’t even want to hear because it absolutely makes sense.

Atsumu found himself waking up to an unfamiliar smell that probably came from the kitchen. He’s head really hurts and he still feels like throwing up. He got himself so drunk last night at the victory party that he can’t hardly remember what happened. But before he can think about what kind of stupidity he did last  night, he must know first where he is. He scans his surroundings, looking for his phone first, where he finds it at the side table near the bed. He's gonna check it out later and it’s not like there is someone looking for him or something.

He wasn’t sure who brought him to this place until he saw the picture frame at the study table. It belongs to Shouyou and inside the frame, it was his picture together with his mother and his sister, Natsu-chan. Shouyou brought him to his apartment.

He finally decided to get up and see where Shouyou at and what he was doing early this morning. Shouyou’s apartment is not that big. A one bedroom, small living room and small kitchen with one bathroom is good enough for one person to be living with.

“You’re finally awake, Atsumu-san. Hangover?” Shouyou asked immediately once he saw him get out of the bedroom while his hands were busy mixing and cooking something on the pot that smelled appetizing. He didn’t know that Shouyou could cook but when it comes to Shouyou, nothing is impossible. That is why… Wait.. what the hell he should do now? It finally sunk in to him that he’s in Shouyou's apartment and they were alone. Just the two of them. He started to get so nervous that he could feel some cold sweats at the back of his neck but he needed to play it cool or else Shouyou might feel awkward too with his presence and that’s the last thing he wanted to happen.

“Yeah. Heads hurt like crazy” he answered as he let off a fake chuckle.

“It must be.. You were so wasted last night that you can’t even tell me what your address is. I should have called Osamu-san to ask, but… It was so late and he was probably sleeping. Didn’t want to bother him, that is why I brought you home with me. I’m sorry if I didn’t ask for your permission first..”

“No, I should apologize for getting so drunk last night and for causing you trouble. I didn’t know what had gotten into me. That’s the first time I got myself so drunk to the point of being wasted.”

“That’s fine Atsumu-san.. You can drink all you want as long as I’m with you. I mean.. If you don’t mind having me around.”

'If you don't mind having me around' these words were lingering in his head, like one of his favorite songs that he listened to when he was happy. It was so nice to hear Shouyou say that. As if he wants him to be with him for as long as he wants.

"Shouyou-kun.. Do you.. perhaps… like me?" He accidentally mumbled.

' Crap' he wasn't supposed to say that but due to the words Shouyou spokes, the question just fucking slipped out on his mouth. 'Fuck it' he thought, he can just make an excuse later, like he wasn't sober and they can just forget about it. He wanted to storm out of Shouyou's apartment and buried himself somewhere where nobody could find him and his body.

"I do.. I do like you Atsumu-san. I thought I was being obvious already but maybe I wasn't." Shouyou shyingly said, turning off the gas stove and transferring the miso soup on the bowl to serve him.

'What the actual fuck? Oh wait.. maybe he likes him as a brother or a friend?' A platonic relationship is ideal for them because there's no way Shouyou will like him.. Not when everyone arounds them adores and loves him.

"You do? What kind of like is that? Like as a brother or a friend?" He asked, playing dumb, denying everything because if he won't, he probably gonna say that he likes him too that it's driving him crazy already.

"Not that kind of like Atsumu-san.. More like, a like that I want to be with you always, protect, love , make you happy kind of like, like.."  Shouyou straightly forwarded said.

He was stunned. He can't even move an inch to where he is. He remembered all his past relationships and what they have done to him. He wanted to believe it because he wanted to be with Shouyou too but he was too scared. What if he gets hurt again? He can afford another heartbreak. It will definitely ruin him and everything about him.

"Shouyou-kun.. I-" he was about to say something when Shouyou cutted him off.

"You don't have to like me back, Atsumu-san.. I just wanted to tell you because I wanted you to be aware of me. So don't worry.. You must be hungry, eat first and then drink this medicine. It would help you get rid of your hangover." Shouyou said with a smile on his face.

He wanted to say something but he felt like if he did, things between them would really get awkward. He wasn't sure if the smile that Shouyou wears in front of him was real or fake but he felt something was already off about him.

He shouldn't have asked that stupid question because from the start he was aware. He didn't just bring it up because he was afraid to hear that he was right. He doesn't want to lose Shouyou this way or not in any way.

' What if someone comes and that someone is willing to prove that they’re not like the others, wouldn't it be a waste to let it go? You’re already concluding something that has not even started yet.' he suddenly remembered what Osamu had said to him before. He was full of 'what ifs' but he never thought of 'what could have been'. Maybe, just maybe.. Shouyou is really different. There wasn't a time that he could think of, where Shouyou didn't laugh to the stupidest, cringest, annoying and you can call it whatever you want jokes. Shouyou always cheered him up whenever he felt kind of down and always told him that he would hit his toss no matter how off and ugly it was which would never happen Shouyou said because for him, he's the best and greatest setter that he could ever have. He always compliments him no matter how big or small his accomplishment was.

"Shou-kun.." he called out, wanting the sun's attention to turn fully to him.

"Yes, Atsumu-san? Didn't you like your food? I can cook you something else.."

"No, Shou-kun.. Can you listen to me?" He asked and the ginger boy nodded his head.

If he wants to try it all over again, he should first explain everything to him and let Shouyou understand why he's so afraid of falling in love. He explained everything to him, he didn't even leave even the slightest details. He wanted Shouyou to see him for what and who he really is. The Atsumu who acted so tough, self-less and confident inside the court is not the same Atsumu outside the court. This tough, self-less and confident persona of him is also scared, selfish and insecure. Those were the things that Shouyou needs to embrace and accept if he still decides that he still wants to be with him.

Shouyou stood up from his chair and kneel down before him. He held his hands, and put them closer to his lips and kissed it.

"I'm sorry if I took too long to come into your life. But you know.. It's better late than never.. right? I wanted to be the best for you because you are the first person who has seen and acknowledged me as a valuable player. I still remember your promise. It finally came true. And.. I was so happy to be playing with you and got the chance to be with you. It's anything that I could ask for." Shouyou paused for a second and reached out his cheek, caressing it gently as he continued, "I can't promise that I can take all the hurt away but what I can offer is to share the burden with you until you can finally say that the pain that you went through before was worth it. That your past relationships didn't work out because you are actually for me. That all the things you've been through leads you all the way to me. Let's take it slow. One step at a time. I'm a very patient man after all." Shouyou finished.

Tears started streaming down to his face as he said, "You're such a smooth talker.. You know that?"

Shouyou gently wipes his tears away as he smiles at him "Am I? Very well then.. I will take that as a compliment."

Shouyou faced him, eye to eye level. His hands still on his cheeks. He never understood how those hands were so warm that he felt like he was finally home after a tiring day. Like, if he can relive one moment in his life, this is the moment he will play for a thousand times and will never get sick of it.

He closed his eyes and he knew, his walls were already teared down from the very first moment he saw Shouyou's face again after seven years.

His lips and Shouyou's lips meet for the first time and he wonders where those lips have been, that he waited seven years to taste them. It was a messy kiss at first but as time went by it turned out so passionate that he never wanted it to stop if it weren't for their lips being swollen.

He never intends to let anyone in his life again. He was determined to live his life alone but thinking how silly it was, it made him laugh.

Shouyou is the only exception. A risk that he will gladly take over and a dozen times again. A 'what could have been' that he was thankful for but will never be a 'what if' that he'll regret later on.

1:45 A.M

"Daddy..." the four years old girl called as her daddy was tucking her in her bed, ready to give her a goodnight kiss after reading her favorite book.

"Yes my sunshine?"Shoyou asked his daughter who exactly looks like him (a mini-Shouyou girl version). He looks at his daughter with full of adoration as if the girl is the definition of perfect and he still can't believe that he has created this adorable tiny human being who is now calling him, 'daddy'.

"Daddy.. are you and mommy fighting?" the girl asked like she somewhat understood what's going on with her parents.

Your daughter accidentally saw you crying inside the bathroom as you forgot to lock yourself in. As a toddler, your daughter follows you around the house like a chick and could only have a few minutes on her own when you are inside the bathroom.

You and Shoyou were never near perfect as a couple and oftentimes, you are getting tired with his excuses about missing important occasions and alike. Although you understand that he's really busy as a professional volleyball player, you can't help but to wish that he somehow knows how to balance his time properly. You are not asking for too much, just enough time to spend for you and your daughter.

When you try to open this up to him, he sighs practically worrying where this conversation is going. He didn't want to argue nor did he have the energy to tolerate your constant yapping(which isn't your intention and the case by the way.) You just want to make him understand that his time balancing is shit and you two have a growing toddler that needs both of her parents and you didn't sign up to be a 'single' parent.

"Shou-- Can you please listen to me first?" You plead as he was trying to brush you off saying, "No, Can we talk this one out tomorrow instead? I'm tired.."

Then, what about you? You asked and answered yourself with, 'I'm tired too.. I cleaned the house, did groceries and everything while I'm taking care of our daughter alone.' Not that you're complaining because there's no way you would change a thing. Shoyou and your daughter mean the world to you and you won't exchange it with anything else.

It's just that.. You're tired too. You are getting tired too and you wanted Shoyou to understand that you need him with you there too. With the house and home that you two build from scratch and with this thought you muttered, "Alright then.. I'm sorry. Forget I said this. I'm.. I'm gonna prepare some dinner now." as you turned your back to him and headed to the kitchen.

Shoyou felt bad, he really did but instead of stopping to hug you, he didn't do it thinking it was probably best to just let the two of you cool off first.

Going back to answer her daughter's question, "Why do you think that sunshine?" Shoyou asked back to her curious daughter who seemed so worried for her parents even at her young age.

"I saw mommy crying inside the bathroom earlier. Are you and mommy breaking up? Daddy.. Don't you love mommy anymore?" your daughter who looks exactly as her dad genuinely asks, almost sounding that she was about to cry but before it escalated to that, Shoyou scoop your daughter up in her bed and embrace her warmly as he rock her back and forth, "Did she? I'm sorry about that sunshine. I didn't mean to make mommy cry because Daddy loves her so much with all of my heart and me" he pause for a while, took a sit while he settled his daughter on his lap and then he continued, "I'm not gonna leave you and mommy alone because you two are my world. But you see, daddy can be a jerk sometimes that I.. I won't listen to your mommy's words but only because daddy was tired. Don't worry princess, I promise, I'm going to make up to mommy and make her smile again. Okay? Can you at least forgive daddy now?"

Your daughter nodded as Shoyou wiped her tears away and kissed her small tiny hands, "Thank you my sunshine but you need to go to bed now so Mommy and daddy can talk alright?" Your daughter smiled at him and nodded. He again tucked your daughter in and called it a night.

You were doing the dishes in the kitchen, trying your best not to cry again when Shoyou hugged you from the back, whispering, "Can we talk love?"

At first you tried to be sarcastic asking about what and how he said earlier that he didn't want to talk because he was TIRED but because your husband is really good at convincing, you finally gave up. Facing him now but he is still clinging to you like a child, "What now?" You asked, trying to sound annoyed.

He chuckled a little as he said, "You're a lot cuter when you are annoyed." You raised your brow at him and tried to push him away from you, "Is that what you wanted to say? Get lost. I'm washing the dishes."

He laughed again and held your waist, "Hey, I'm sorry for acting like a jerk earlier. I know it's hard for you too, not me being here always and you just wanted me to manage my time properly. I'm trying my best love.. I really am."

You sigh because you know that he was. He is really trying his best but because you miss him and feel like he is missing his time to be a dad, you can't help but to demand a little more effort, "I know Shou.. I understand, I really do.. It's just that.. Me and our daughter need you too and I don't want you missing the important occasions in her life."

"Yeah I know.. Don't worry, It won't happen again. I promise I'll be better at least if not the best. So will you forgive me?" Shoyou asked as he kissed you on your forehead.

You hugged him and whispered, "Alright but only if you finish doing the dishes." You two look at each other and before your lips and his lips meet, he answered, "Sure.. Anything for the mother of my daughter and for the love of my life."

I’ve created two options for Bokeh lookin’ backgrounds: MartyMcFly DOF and Matso DOF.  𝄖  Blur focus is controlled with your mouse! 𝄖  In tab mode the MXAO decreases significantly so you’ll see it’s harsh in live mode but don’t worry! It will look subtle and more cohesive in tab mode.  𝄖  The preset is intended for brighter portraits and outdoor shots, you may need to make adjustments for darker photos.

Set Family Relationships Mod

One of the features I love about MC Command Center is the ability to add relationships. It allows you to add siblings and parents to desired sims. However, you cannot add cousins, uncles, aunts, grandchildren or grandparents yet. This mod allows you to add those relationships! I use it to add cousins since the game only recognizes first cousins in the relationship panel by default.

To use the mod, click on the desired sim and click on the Set Family Relationships Menu. Here, you can add or remove relationships (parents are not included because I couldn’t get the family tree to update the way MCC grandparents and siblings worked). For example, if you click on a sim, you can make them your active sim’s grandparent by clicking “Set as Grandparent”. 

To Install: Unzip the included package and script files directly into your Sims 4 mods folder.

Toddler bedroom stuff is finally outtttt! this set is currently patreon exclusive and it will be free on April 22.

rocking horse…

sims of ALL AGES can ride the rocking horse, but toddler sims can also name and nap on it. Toddler, children, and adult sims with a childish trait will also gain unique moodlets after riding the rocking horse.

Sleeping Mat

toddlers can sleep or nap on the sleeping mat. If they were to nap, they will automatically wake up after 1.5 - 2 hours. Occasionally they will gain a “power nap” moodlet after napping.

Swing Chair

toddlers can swing on it, and sims of other ages can sit on it and read or eat

Basketball hoop

if a toddler has a movement level lower than level 3, they will fall over alot and wont actually score lol

occasionally the ball will hit them in the face lol

and they gain this moodlet after playing

if their movement level is 3 or higher, they will actually score the ball and wont fall over as much

and they gain this moodlet after playing
