Spin this wheel first and then this wheel second to generate the title of a YA fantasy novel!
(If the second wheel lands on an option ending with a plus sign, spin it again)

confidently posting 'Real women shouldn't have to play against cis women in sports because cis women have wildly different testosterone levels compared to real women who manage theirs with medications.' in a facebook lesbian group then turning my notifications on vibrate and shoving my phone down my pants

I like zukka as a ship but I cannot go into the tags for content about it. why is everyone so insistent on making zuko a little femboy. so many people just see a long haired man regardless of culture/time period and call him femme. And they make sokka hypermasculine like hello????? he’s so fucking flamboyant ?? he wrote poetry, loved arts and crafts, wore a gay little purse, and did DRAG. in CANON. In a modern setting sokka would fix your car and then say SLAYYY do a death drop

I love trans Jesus as much (or more) than the next guy but I really hate the chromosomal argument for it. the logic simply does not hold up. God can create out of nothing. God could create a child with XY chromosomes with no father. We know extremely little about the particular physical body of Jesus of Nazareth except that he had one, it was wounded, and it was raised.
So my best arguments are:
The Logos: Jesus Christ is the Logos (Word) of God, the second person of the Trinity. This Logos is associated with Wisdom in Hebrew scriptures, which is grammatically female and personified as a woman. When this Wisdom/Logos/Word is incarnated on earth, it is as a man. Trans Word of God.
The Body of Christ: Believers are the Body of Christ and Jesus is incarnate in us. Trans believers are in the Body of Christ, the Body of Christ is trans, Christ is trans. (And not-trans.)
And the biggest one: God becoming incarnate, going from infinite to finite, is trans. It's a literal transition and a transgression of boundaries. At the end of the day, transness is the name we've given to the experience of transgressing gendered boundaries. In the eternal mystery of the incarnation, all human boundaries-- of geography, of religion, of ethnicity, of class, of gender-- are transgressed and transformed. More than being literally trans in the 20th-21st century, God enters into all of our boundary crossings, in every time and place.

I hate this response that if I say “being a Christian makes me a better person” people will say you weren’t that good of a person in the first place. Because even if I wasn’t a Christian I would still help my community, and be kind to people, and try to put goofs into the world. I mean I know non-Christians who excel at these things better than me.
But I’m a better person because sometimes doing the right thing is TERRIFYING and despite popular opinion sometimes you can’t know it’s the right thing. Sometimes you have doubts. Sometimes doing the right thing for others means doing the wrong thing for yourself. Sometimes putting that good into the world requires sacrifice. Knowing though that God is in my corner as long as I am trying to make the world a better place makes doing the right thing just a little bit easier. It’s not as scary when I think an all loving God is walking through this with me. It’s not as scary to be wrong when I know that God knows my intentions and will guide me to the truth. It’s not as scary when the truth about Justice, peace, and kindness is literally found in the Bible. That as long as I am loving my neighbor then I am doing what needs to be done.
There is something powerful know that your kindness is backed by the creator of the universe, and for me personally, it gives me the courage to be kind even in situations where kindness isn’t easy.

I love you social justice oriented Christians. I love you Gary (my pastor) who presided over gay weddings before they were legally binding and before the church had come to a decision on it. I love you Conrad (old pastor I work with) for getting arrested for protesting the Iraq war and performing a lesbian wedding the minute it became legal for a couple who'd been together for decades. I love you Dr Donald Hertz for your sermons on Acts 20:27 and your life spent living out that verse and for causing trouble when you were still a student assigned to a segregated church in Birmingham and for spontaneously joining a grape boycott picket line outside of a Safeway in Berkeley because that verse says we cannot shrink away from our duty to each other. I love you Martin Luther's common chest. I love you Charles de Foucauld. I love you Oscar Romero. I love you Dorothy Day. I love you for giving me a legacy to carry on.

Yesterday was Pentecost. Our advocate the Holy Ghost is out haunting the streets. She is anointing the heads of her apostles and they are speaking in tongues of righteous rage, of Love that refuses to look away, of compassion and protection. Christ is in the crowd, overturning tables and driving out agents of greed and evil. The young are having visions of what will happen if power is left unchecked and the old are dreaming dreams of justice.
