This was originally going to be a poll to help me decide what animals I wanted to make them, but I got pretty attached to all of the designs so I think I'll keep drawing all of them.

But! I'll still make a poll to see which designs you think I should put on artfight! (Since I don't think I'd have time to make ref sheets for all of them). And also I kind of want to have an "official" pick.

My wishlist for season 3:

So at this point we 100% know that Gyeong-seok is going to infiltrate as a guard, also there's that line in the trailer which I'm certain is his voice (the "I'll help you" line). I think he's probably saying it to No-eul, but I have a little bit of hope that he's actually saying it to Hyun-ju.

I'm really worried because we haven't seen any scenes of her in the trailer that aren't after the rebellion or during the 4th game. I'm really hoping she doesn't die and it's just to avoid spoilers, which would make sense if what happens is that Gyeong-seok smuggles her out. I have to have faith in Hyun-ju being strong af.

Btw, I drew the "Thank god, you're alright" one before watching any of the trailers or teasers. Also, I still haven't settled for animals for Hyun-ju and Gyeong-seok, but I do have something planned to help me decide 👀.

I know I forgot to add Mr Kim, Woo-seok and captain Park, I kinda forgot about them. But I'm planning to do a Season 1 version, a Season 3 version (when it comes out) and a No-Squidgame AU version (with all the characters included!). So lmk if you'd like to see that.

What if all the characters were kitties?

I didn’t want to put the word ‘grooming’ in the title, but that’s basically what this is; just the wholesome, cat kind.

So, for some context; I imagine tongue-bathing would be kind of like 'sharing tongues' in Warrior Cats, or like brushing someone's hair but more common and frequent. Friends might do it, family might do it, and ofc romantic partners might do it too. Also I feel like it'd usually be more common for like mentors/superiors/parents/grandparents to initiate. Kind of like a nurturing gesture.

If anyone's confused on how to read this:

The arrows go from giver to reciever.

The color indicates how often they'd groom the other cat's fur.

Transparency indicates if they've done it or if they haven't gotten to.

More in-detail thoughts below.

I feel like after the games, Gi-hun stopped caring about himself a lot, so when Jung-bae sees him again he's pretty concerned and often insists on tidying his fur, since Gi-hun won't do it himself. Gi-hun only reciprocates once (The scene where they're talking at night and Jung-bae briefly manages to bring the old Gi-hun back).

In-ho gave it a shot to seem friendly but it didn't work out much.

Jung-bae also helps Dae-ho and Jun-hee with their fur now and then. Dae-ho always returns the favor, he's just happy to have a nice dad.

And holy moly, Jun-hee makes everyone want to care for her, she's the character with most arrows pointed at her of all here.

Even the frontman was taking care of her.

Geum-ja and Thanos meanwhile are rivaling for having the bigger roster.

Geum-ja is grooming Yong-sik's fur all the time, and gets pretty upset that she can't untangle it (it's pretty curly).

She also cares for her three adoptive daughters, especially Jun-hee.

Yong-sik gets very embarrassed when Geum-ja just starts aggressively licking at his fur, but he does reciprocate a few times.

For Gyeong-seok I think about that scene where it looks like he wanted to reach out to touch Hyun-ju's shoulder but he stops himself, I feel like it would've been similar to that, where he wanted to comfort her but couldn't get himself to do it.

Hyun-ju would've probably still been to depressed to reciprocate, but she's still thankful for him and might've been tempted to in the scene where they briefly chat after she explains how to use the weapons.

Myung-gi probably wanted to get closer to Jun-hee sometimes but she never allowed him to or he never dared to approach her.

Thanos also wanted to probably lick all of Señorita's fur, but she died before he could even get close enough.

As the leader of his group, he does clean all of his group's fur semi-frequently (Attempts on Se-mi's case).

Nam-gyu reciprocates and doesn't try to initiate on anyone else but Thanos.

Min-su just takes it, but only reciprocates with Se-mi.

Gyeong-su probably wanted to try with some other members of the group but he didn't dare to as he didn't want to seem like he was asserting dominance over Thanos.

No one wants anything to do with the Recruiter/Salesman or shaman lady, and they don't really want that either (I have a feeling that salesman would make it weird, somehow).

Lastly, No-eul really wants to give that Na-yeon a lick on the forehead once to then never see her again.
