It is the most nonsensical characterization this show ever come up with? Also no.

I'm gonna say something extremely controversial, even if buddie gets together, Eddie is not gonna be labeled gay because who labeled Buck was Oliver and Ryan will never gonna say Eddie is gay. He's gonna stutter some nonsense about the ambiguity of Eddie and how love is a fluid feeling, mention how much Eddie loved Shannon, talk about the vulnerability of men, and move on.

LAFD Curse Division ⛑️

Curses and Blessings desperately wanted to live. Desperately. There are few things the Universe wouldn't do to keep them functional and active. The problem, of course, was that there weren't many practical ways to force Blesseds into danger. Most places didn't have the resources to attract the few Blessed who wouldn't have their applications deleted every time they tried to apply for any job that put them in danger. Cursed? The Universe didn't bother to remove them from the firing line. They were already there anyway. The issue, of course, lay with the rest of the team. Non-Cursed employees who worked with Cursed personnel were 34% more likely to be injured than those on entirely Curse-free teams. This was how Firehouse 118, also known as the Curses Division, was born. An entire team made up solely of people who couldn't die unless it was inevitable, perfect for dealing with the worst things that could happen in Los Angeles.

Hey everyone who is staring at Foi Assim que Começou and wondering why the hell am I posting something in Portuguese, but not posting the English translation right away, like I usually do.

I clearly don't have the motivation to write by myself, so I am using the fact that I am making it public to motivate me to do the last chapter I still need to do: Buck's chapter. Once I finish with it, I will translate it all and post the translation of Chimney's chapter (the first one). But I can assume you guys that I will keep posting the Portuguese version of what I have once a week until then, so that's something.

Anyway, here is the explanation of Foi Assim que Começou for anyone curious

"Foi Assim que Começou"/"This Is How It Began" is a fanfic of a fanfic, in a sense. @ayotofu has this Curse AU, which takes place in an Alternate Universe where Blessings and Curses exist and counterbalance each other. The kickoff of the first part ("sweet child, you are a blessing (poor child, you have been cursed)") is that Buck was cursed so that Daniel would be cured.

In an author's note, if I'm not mistaken the second-to-last one published, the author shared that she had thought of a version of the story where they had all been cursed, and this led me to write a long comment with some ramblings about this possibility. ayotofu, for some reason, allowed me to write the whole thing as a real story since it wasn't all that similar to their version. So here I am, publishing the first 1.5k words of the 8.2k I've written since… well, I wrote at least 8,000 of those words the week after that comment, which is a few months ago, but……… as I said, my motivation sometimes eludes me, with faith I'll finish this now that I've started publishing.

Disclaimer: In the ayotofu universe, Blessings are always general, but Curses are basically short phrases that make certain things true or impossible, and from what I remember, the people who perform the Blessings-Curses don't choose what the Curses will say. I decided to make both phrases similar in function and write them in a way that implies that the ritualists (people who perform Blessings-Curses) can choose what both will say, or choose just one and let the Universe write the other. I think the fact that I've delved much deeper into how rituals work says something about me, but let's not get into that.

crazy that gravity falls was like, hey what if we made twin brothers, and one of them is the worse one. he gets bad grades, he likes to punch his problems, everyone thinks of him as “the other one.” he’s engulfed in a shadow that’s shaped like him. he doesn’t even have his own name—it’s derived of his brother’s name, the only one his parents planned on having and using. everything about him is derivative—imitative of another person (his twin brother) (the one everyone likes and wants) and is disapproved of for that reason (he isn’t just “bad at this thing,” he’s “not as good as his brother”). and then he ruins his brother’s science fair project (the one next to his own—no one noticed it because it’s not good, it’s almost stupid next to a “perpetual motion machine” made by a high schooler) (he tried to fix it) (he doesn’t know how; he’s not as smart as the guy who made it) and he gets kicked out. the potential of the money his twin could’ve made is enough to throw him onto the street, and he can’t go home until he makes that money back (the money that was never gained and therefore was never lost. he never had a chance of making enough). he took every job he could (his brother went to school). he got banned from multiple states (his brother bought a house). he traveled internationally and went to prison and had people try to hunt him down and kill him because he couldn’t make enough money (his brother’s house has three basements. he made them himself, as secure as can be). and when his twin finally summons him for help, things go wrong (he messed up this machine like the last one) (he doesn’t know how to fix it. he isn’t as smart as the guy who made it) (he tries to fix it) (he was never any good at reading and these blueprints are impossible, coded and fragmented and in a science that he didn’t know existed) (he tries to fix it). the townspeople ask who he is, and he doesn’t even say his own name (it was hardly his to begin with). and he invites them to a house that isn’t his to show off experiments that aren’t his because he needs to make money that can’t be his. everything he does for the next 30 years is in his twin’s name, for his twin’s sake. he had two funerals for himself and it isn’t even his body in the casket; he had to wear his brother’s name to both of them. if he had died before he fixed the portal, that funeral wouldn’t have been for him. we meet him as a funny and unique character, but in-universe, he’s only ever been defined by someone else.

and then they went, this is entirely in the background btw. most of that is going to be revealed in one episode and won’t be addressed again. he’s a primary comic relief, even. I’m ill about this.

I will never forget the one time when I was working giving instructions in an event, and a teenager boy ask me where a certain thing was. I answer with maybe 5 words, and he immediately went "Oh, you are from [state]" and then left. He was right. I am forever marked from this.

Apparently, I have enough of a localized dialect accent that my coworker recognized it as being from a different state than where I live now? But I've been here for four years and I swear I've been blending in??

Ron Weasley - a good man

I somewhere read quote that says: "Good people do small things, so that brilliant people can do great things". I think this is great description of golden trio.

It's well known fact that Ron Weasley is probabbly most overhated charachter in the whole series, and while a movies take a lot of blame, I think it's in people's nature to not like people like Ron. Everybody wants to be a hero and beat a villian like Harry, or to be smartest person in their school like Hermione, but Voldemort couldn't have been beaten if Harry didn't have Ron for best friend.

Ron understand him better than anyone else could. Ron gave him a family that he never had. Ron is someone who is most relieable for him. He is the person that matters the most to him.

Ron is only one in trio that is someone I would be friend with. Harry was a moody git, very tough to talk to, while Hermione was a stubborn know-it-all. When people say that Ron was comic relief to Harry, they don't understand that Harry wouldn't be happy if he didn't have Ron. They think that because Ron is always fighting with Hermione, it means that he's cruel, but they don't understand that if he wasn't there to show her that she isn't always right about everything, she would have even worse social skills that she already has. He is the only one of the trio that could have normal conversation with other people and was most liked.

When Ron came back during the hunt, it was the best piece of writing that JKR did for me. Harry's thoughts are as he had seen a God. He is so happy that his favorite person came back to him, and his fighting spirit is 10× bigger than ever before.

Did Ron killed Voldemort? No, that was Harry. Would they be able to kill Voldemort if it wasn't for Hermione's brilliance? No, they wouldn't. But would golden trio exist without Ron? Would Harry be able to get out of his everyday depression if it wasn't for Ron? Would Hermione ever be able to not sound condesending and would she ever had any other friend if it wasn' for Ron? No, and no, and no.

Ron did small/invisible things so that Harry and Hermione would be able to do great things.
