I've been seeing more posts about iPods lately, so I wanted to make sure everyone knows about the Tangara.

It's an open-source, hackable music player, and it's up for pre-order right now.

It's not cheap, but it's an extremely cool indie project. And, unlike Apple products, it's designed to make it easy to replace pieces that stop working. Which means it could last you a very, very long time.
