Grinding Gear Games spent years and years increasing graphics quality of PoE to the point where you now need an actual NASA computer to play the endgame at high settings, only for the game to still look like it was made in 2012. That is when you can actually tell what the game looks like behind the 60 explosions and ground effects happening on your screen. Outstanding.

Trying to establish a clearer state/Keeper dynamic as it applies to Lillian with this revamped ARR chapter snippet, with preference towards not using the most direct word: integrate.

Further down, a conjurer in customary robes had unhooked one lamp devoid of light from its blackened chain. Scrounging around in the pocket of his robe, contents clinking lightly, he pulled out a pair of ashen tubes. Red glow shone forth when their caps were unscrewed, as did a shimmer of smokeless heat. Lillian continued by while he set about refilling the depleted lamp with shards of fire-aspected crystal, miqo’te eyes unimpeded – comforted, even – by the absence of light. Darkness blanketed her in a loving embrace.

Motion in the far away caught her attention: a younger elezen woman stuttering up through the deep gloom, one hand tracing along the tunnel’s side to guide her. “Careful,” the conjurer warned, without looking up. Though wide enough to allow them both walk side by side, Lillian leaned into the rock and out of the way until the woman passed, fatigue washing her over as the wall took the burden of her weight. Thoughts of rest bred uncontrolled and weighed down leaden on her eyelids. Only a little further, Lillian reminded herself. A few more steps, a short conversation, hand over the receipt, and she’d be free to sleep under a comfortable tree until night rose.

If only – the Gridanian routine was hers now, the old Keeper ways handed over when she’d chosen a roof over her head. A life built in the daylight was one her nocturnal soul proved reluctant to agree with. Every day of drudgery saw the transition easier, or so she told herself. It gave her the strength to push forward off the stone.
