Okay. Decided to try anyway. After a bit of searching, could be Armadillo intermixus, seems to be similar shape and coloration. This photo looks extremely similar, and is actually taken by the same photographer, labeled as Armadillo intermixus.

Def Armadillidae (tropical pill woodlice), unsure about Cubaris. I will have to take a closer look when I do not have a headache.

Thoughts on iridovirus?
Not sure. It’s definitely a very interesting disease, I don’t know much about it. I hope I never have to worry about it with my own pods.
An image, for those who haven’t heard of it:

The blue pods are infected. Very pretty, 100% fatal.
(Armadillidium vulgare)

Totally agree!! Very good job with these guys. I especially love how the Pak Chong pod is drawn, it looks like a little dragon creature. They are all very lovely and quite accurate.
While we’re recommending isopods, I’d like to put my word in for Ligia Oceania. They have always been very dragon to me

Some isopod studies from reference. I wanted to get some practice in before attempting to make some isopod pins. Fun fact: Terrestrial isopods have 7 main scutes (plates) before their little butt plates start.
Col erase pencil and marker.

(The reference images, from left to right)
A Porcellionid woodlouse, possibly p. laevis from body shape? Unsure.
Cubaris sp. “Pak Chong”
Armadillo officinalis
Armadillidium vulgare
(Also, did you say isopod pins? 👀👀)

Oh, wow! Yeah, it might be. These guys are usually a sort of reddish color (which I still consider purple), but this one is very distinctly purple. Could very well be from the additional bluish color iridovirus gives.
I haven’t seen a trichnoniscus with the virus before, though. That’s pretty cool.

my first time attempting to photograph such small isopods, @identifying-isopods-in-posts perhaps you could aid me? I will try to identify them using the BMIG website when I'm home, but i just thought that you'd definitely have a better chance identifying them

Dwarf purples are commonly sold in the isopod hobby, but from what I know, they are originally from Costa Rica. I’m not sure if they are found elsewhere.

@ethereal-forest-furry you and a couple others have tagged me in this, but I have done it already!
I will make a slight correction: I think that #4, which I identified as Armadillidae sp. “devil mask” is actually Armadillidae sp. “Choco drizzle”.
I hope the species gets scientifically observed, there are so many cool pods in the hobby that haven’t been, that we don’t even know the species of.

Happens to the best of us tbh. Upon closer inspection, I now agree with Porcellio spinicornis. It was also ~1 am when I posted this, so not surprised I overlooked some details
