hhhhh... wha-cha!

?
This is a juvenile seagull of some kind, but unfortunately due to the lack of location and also I SUCK at identifying seagulls at the best of times (juveniles increase the difficulty), im not able to identify it any more than that </3

Was full on convinced your url was "Bird sin posts" for a moment until I thought about what bird sins you could possibly be identifying
judging by the ones i see on my bird feeders, wrath is a pretty big sin for birds methinks

Behold! A bird!
Judging by the size, distinctive cap and beak colours, i'd assume a Crested Caracara pondering its reflection
#birds#id#north america#south america#:)#ask#really cool guys#it could be the picture quality but im wondering if its moulting out of its juvenile feathers.. the neck plumage especially looks dull

hi! i'm not a bird expert by any means, but i'm wondering if the bird you id'd as a goldcrest looks a bit more like a golden crowned kinglet? there seems to be dark striping around the eyes and a pic of a US state on the bottom left
Good catch via context clues! I usually do a reverse image search on images for this kind of thing which turned up completely blank this time.
The two species look virtually indistinguishable in a single image, with the kinglet's dark eye stripe in that lovely area of "is this a shadow or a marking?", I was certainly confident it wasn't a firecrest at least lol
#you get a medal 🫳🥇#what a neat learning experience#same genus at least! half points to me#the downside to living on one continent is youre always oblivious to lookalikes from another. wild that they dont share any common territor#ask
