I realized that personality wise, Jax and dazai are fairly similar, yes jax is way more... malicious (?) THAN dazai, however, they are both jokesters. Specifically, they have a tendency to deflect with humor when things start to get serious, and jax thinks that he's being helpful to gangle by being mean to her, and dazai thought that he was being helpful to akutagawa when a he abused him.
