“Amidst one of the most tumultuous weeks in U.S. history where we witnessed a president deploy troops to a US city against the expressed demands of the state and local officials, a major escalation in the conflagration in the Middle East, and a political assassination, Trump's big day finally arrived.
“What transpired can only be described as a Greek comedy. His face foretells impending dread...
“The parade in DC was forced to start a half hour early because of incoming weather. DC residents were saying online the air was so humid and thick it's as if the Swamp was settling in just as the parade was scheduled to begin.
“But the real problem wasn't the weather— it was crowd size.
“DC is an absolute ghost town. As the parade began, news outlets on the ground all reported the crowd—estimated to be 200,000 people—was a mere fraction. Even the meager and unenthusiastic attendees that did show up couldn't muster as much as a cheer, exhausted and drained from standing in the hot steaming rain for hours.
“The US Army's speaker system blared 'Unfortunate Son', a famous song about the working class people who are forced to go to war and lose everything while draft dodgers like Trump simply pay for a phony doctor's note. The irony was likely unintentional and rather yet another symptom of a decaying empire unable to maintain a coherent narrative. Speaking of incoherence, the bored troops marched in the sloppiest lines that would make U.S. Army George S. Patton slap a haux.
“A video of the parade widely circulating on social media depicts an ancient 80-year-old tank plodding down Constitution Ave, the crowd so eerily quiet the only thing you could hear is the rusty tank treads squeaking, no less diminished than the man it was intended to honor. The video continues for several agonizing minutes with the only audible sound the squeaking of the rusty tank.
“Trump basically used $50 million of our tax money to humiliate himself. Outside the 10 miles of tall fencing and concertina wire wrapped around DC's public buildings, and the empty streets now degraded from 30 ton tanks, a nationwide rebellion was afoot.
“More than 8 million people came out today for #NoKings in the largest single-day anti-Trump protest in history.
“The thousands of photos and videos online from #NoKings are testament to how many millions hit the streets, how positive our energy was, how peaceful and organized we are, that no amount of right-wing disinformation could obscure the stark reality: that our movement has the Juice and MAGA ain't got shit.
“Today we found our voice. Today we found each other. Today we reclaimed our flag.
“Today we birthed a great and mighty social movement dedicated to saving our democracy from the predator oligarchs who are robbing all of us blind, while they buy politicians and direct our rage towards oppressed groups, like immigrants and trans people.
“Today was the day we begin to turn the tables, not just on Donald Trump, but on the billionaire takers who contribute nothing to our society but an organized system of wealth extraction and widespread deprivation, bolstered by a coin-operated fascist presidency.
“"Rise like Lions after slumber. In unvanquishable number, Shake your chains to earth like dew. Which in sleep had fallen on you – Ye are many – they are few."”

In a situation like this, if we're pretending Musk and Trump forever became mortal enemies, it is very important to not get caught up in the idea that the enemy of your enemy is your friend. Musk is still an out-of-touch billionaire who lies about his accomplishments, finds people who aren't super rich as disgusting & inferior animals who need to be controlled, directly encourages neo-nazi political groups in Europe, and seeks to buy, manipulate, and dominate politics using his wealth to further enrich himself at the cost of the safety social structures and public works.
Elon has already started to defer back to Trump in an effort to make up for his behavior towards the administration, so it's definitely not an enemy of my enemy situation anymore, but just keep that in mind when it happens again and cut off people trying to worship Elon again when he ultimately divorces from Trump permanently. He's still a nazi sympathizer, he still upholds and encourages fascism in his actions and rhetoric.
Hey just a quick check in- now that musk is like severely imploding on trump and their severed ties
Yall won't forget this part right?
Tumblr media
Yall won't forget he's still a massive scumbag right? That he's still a nazi right? That won't get lost in translation right???
(I don't THINK it'll get forgotten but I really want to remind people that just because Musk is now bashing trump for all the shit we've known about him for awhile that we don't forget he was complicit. If anything his bashing and airing out trumps laundry makes it worse, because he KNEW all that and still worked with him.)

“caught in the crossfire” is crazy work when it’s your own reporter and it’s a video where you can just watch the cop aim directly at her and shoot her completely 100% on purpose with your own two eyes

Recorded video shows this woman standing compliantly while he handcuffs her, but audibly sobbing, which annoys the cop and he tells her to stop resisting. For sobbing.
Trump's gestapo arrested more people for what sounds like some unconfirmed paranoid shit. Like, they suspected that the aide was helping immigrants but I can't find any details on said immigrants. So I'm guessing that they were just doing their job again.

Idk how many of you have been reading the news, but this treatment of immigrants to the USA is set to cause a constitutional crisis. If things continue as they have been, we're going to see dissolution of rule of law much, much sooner than almost anyone had anticipated.
"Fascism" doesn't just mean "when things are really bad", it's a specific system with specific features that is built when capitalism hits a crisis point. It grows out of liberal democracy, and the transition isn't all at once.
One of the key features of full-on fascism is that the law becomes irrelevant. The current regime is trying to speedrun the transition to fascism by repeatedly breaking laws and waiting for packed courts to sort out what's legal.
This is an incredibly effective strategy. Because these breaches of law are set to be addressed in courts, people believe there will be redress, which has worked brilliantly to reduce opposition to these crimes.
Trump's regime is also targeting groups considered inherently criminal in American racism, so outcry is even smaller.
Trump is openly defying law and court orders, and resistance to his regime is being coopted by centrist groups who want to avoid doing anything actually effective, funneling angry people into purely symbolic protests with no threat to his power at all.
We are watching the USA begin its final stage of transition to fascism.

Top Trump official Stephen Miller's recent declaration that anyone who "preaches hate for America" will face deportation has ignited alarm online, with critics warning the statement disregards First Amendment protections.
The controversy began during a Monday morning appearance from the White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy on Fox News. Miller was defending the deportation of a Salvadoran national alleged to be involved in gang activity, as well as the pending removal of Mahmoud Khalil, a protester accused of supporting Hamas.
While Miller discussed a federal judge's authorization to deport Khalil, and the online debate that followed quickly turned toward broader implications for dissent and political expression.
