I can't believe I speed run this while Luca was streaming HAHAHAHAHAHA. I wish I could have done more but I only had 30 mins so I had to do it chibi style, also sorry that I was gone for a while but now Im back for more art. After almost 2 months I've finally finished it!!! 😭💕

Only a few days left then I'll be going back to school (nuuuuuuuuuu) but at least I got to finsihed this art before school starts. I know this took a while due to constant procrastinating and a long art block but it was all worth it, as you may know I have finally revealed myself on my facebook but don't worry for people who don't have fb I will be planning to make one (instagram) around this month. Anyways I had fun making this, experimenting the brushes and her hair was the hardest part for me to draw ya know lots of details on the art but it was fun. Anyways I hope you like it @chiricat_ 😄❤

Lmao sorry sorry for not posting last week, I've been feeling bad about my art for a while and sometimes my artstyle changes and idrk anymore ig. Also if you heard the news that Yuzuru Hanyu is now retired from figure skating which is really sad because I will never see the Winnie the Poo waterfall again but I know he deserves to take a break and he shows us how ice skating is amazing and another way to express yourself. With that I decided to draw my favorite character in Yuri on Ice, Yuri Plisetsky to dedicate that he may be retired but he is the prince of ice skating and he will be remember throughout history. ♥

The Underrated Dark Academics:

Part I

• The Chaotic Dark Academic

Yes, dark academia is very pretty and put together but who cares? Skips classes to visit castles, always arrives late, has a mess of old paperbacks, pens and spilled ink, crumpled paper on their dark wooden table. Their head is messy, but their hands are messier with quotes from Shelley or Dickenson or just math calculations. Drinks black coffee half way and forgets the rest, swoopy curls, messy hair, mismatched socks, disorganised playlists, tangled headphones, hard core romantics. Never submits their essays on time but scores the highest.

• The Artsy Dark Academic

Fingers stained with navy blue or deep brown paint, figure drawing on coffee stained pages, obsessed with baroque art. Late night visits to art galleries and museums and staring intensely at the sculptures over the rim of the coffee cup. Loves rainy sunsets and gothic architecture, creates masterpieces in the last pages of their notebooks, shy smile, hides their works, messy fingers and brows furrowed with concentration while making a charcoal drawing in candle light.

I don’t think any piece of art has ever emotionally affected me the way this robot arm piece has affected me. It’s called “Can’t Help Myself” and it’s a robot arm that’s programmed to clean up the fluid that’s constantly leaking out of itself, that looked like a never ending flow of blood. It has programmed dance moves to make it appear to have human gestures. And at first, it seemed happy and proud of its job, dancing around when it had visitors. But three years later, it looks tired, hopeless, and like it’s living in a never ending cycle of constantly trying to put itself back together for the entertainment of other people. And when I found out that it had finally stopped working in 2019, essentially dying, I couldn’t help but imagine the relief it must’ve felt and so I’ve been in here crying over a robot arm. 🥺 It was programmed this way, it truly couldn’t help itself. And no one ever helped him, they just watched.
