theyre both an orphan and a former employee !!

astaroth used to be an in-site orphan before they were adopted by an employee. fortunately, this employee really loved his child and didn't turn them into a toy experiment !

but young astaroth really loved their father's job and really missed their orphan friends so they ... became an intern ? they worked as an assistant, didn't know jack about the toy experiments. they were just a teen

( un ) fortunately they got sick and stayed home when the HoJ happened. that's how they're still alive and well. they don't know what happened to their father, coworkers, and friends. all they know is that everyone inside the company disappeared

so imagine their surprise when they got a package without a return address that told them to go back to the factory ten years after the incident, and it saying that their father was still there.

astaroth really didn't know what awaited them inside. that's also why their outfit is incredibly non-practical. when they stepped outside their house that day, they really thought they would just walk around through the normal factory floor. they had no idea that any of these things were inside the building. or under

at least they had the foresight to bring a backpack with snacks, water and spare clothes. in case they found their father or got their clothes drenched in oil or something. it wouldn't have been the first time lol
