Jung Ilhoon | Vampire Fledging | Disclaimer With the appearance and innocence of a child, he wanders the streets, dazed, confused and alone. Alone. Yes, that's the key word, the most awful word in the English tongue. Murder doesn't hold a candle to it and hell is only a poor synonym.

Ilhoon shook his head upon hearing the repeated words again, the word completely foreign to him though he knew he'd have heard it before and simply stared blankly at the other before noting that the disbelief could pose questions. "Oh, oh coffee! I know what you're talking about now." he spoke the lie carefully not in the mood for any questions as to why he wouldn't know the substance.
Luhan blinks, perplexed at the other’s obvious confusion, he himself mildly confused as he wonders what part of his question brought out the male’s expression. “Coffee…You haven;t heard of it before?” He asks, hiding the disbelief in his voice. “It’s a common drink that I assume most people enjoys.”

I was waiting for you in that alley. Watching you watching me. And then you began to speak. What a lucky break for me. Perhaps lucky for both of us.

Few places. There were few destinations throughout the bustling, congested space of Seoul where Ilhoon could go that wouldn't cause him the need to board up against an alleyway and block out all the senses. From blasting noises of a wild club to the veering scratching of multiple cars against the pavement and past his ears. A whirlwind of noises, troublesome irritations to his sensitive ears, the male couldn't catch a break with his heightened senses. The city simple wasn't a place for a fledgling like him, all these distraction compiled with the thoughts in his mind, simply drove him insane within a matter of seconds.
Pitter patter, pitter patter. He wanted to thank the rain, but he also wanted to curse it, it drowned out the noises of the city but also added to an entirely new symphony or drops against the pavement, against his skin, the bouncing of boots as the humans attempted to escape the droplets, as if they would sting their skin. No, they couldn't possibly know the feeling of something truly stinging their skin, like a hot iron against their flesh. Pathetic. Personally he didn't understand the need to get out the rain, would he get sick, only time would tell.
So he wandered, purposely to the one place that would allow his being to escape this myriad of destruction to his brain, to his ears and more importantly his peace. The park, placed conveniently and ironically in the middle of such a city. Worn out sneakers squishing between the grass, at this point the male was soaked from head to toe, pale skin glimmering in the moonlight while the droplets shown off bleached locks that fell over his forehead. Red hues scanned his destination of choice, a place of reverie for him and him only. Despite the shower falling all about him, it was quiet, as the rain pounded the desolate expanse of land.
Desolate, or so he thought. Just as he came to his normal clearing, ruby orbs met with a figure all too familiar, it sent a chill up his spine. No. It couldn't be. The smell was blurred by the mixture of drenched trees, bark and fresh grass, he couldn't make it out, but he wouldn't mistake the figure for anyone else, nor would he mistake that perfect shade of red her hair took on. No. Was he dreaming? The male took choppy steps towards the female, whose figure was swallowed by small grass bristles. He was hesitant in his steps the same burning in his chest resurfacing.
"Um.....miss." His wavering voice broke through into the rain, reaching her ears most definitely while he waited albeit impatiently for a response. Out in the rain, it fit her perfectly, but the question was, was it her?
Rainy Skies † Ilhoon & Soojung
From the clouded dark sky fell droplets of water, each and every droplet that kissed her porcelain colored skin felt immensely refreshing. Besides the crimson haired woman, there was nothing but solitude in the large park. This was of no surprise to her, for she had come past midnight to the park on purpose. Rather than finding it eerie or dull, Soojung thought it was peaceful and alluring. As a child, she had never had a secret place just for herself, but now it felt as if time had made up for that, and let her have the park as a secret haven, but only after midnight.
A good choice it had been to leave the stuffy apartment, to wander outside in the rain. Sleep hadn’t visited her for several nights, only grim thoughts and sorrowful memories had knocked on her door. Her feelings were like threads that tangled, and as much as she tried to calm down, it seemed like the only thing she was doing was making them tangle even more. The urgent need to escape had been dire, but upon encountering the park, Soojung felt more serene.
For the first time since she had arrived to this foreign country, she had been able to take the long charcoal colored coat off. A blanket of security, one of her most important possessions, the coat meant that and much more to her. For now, it lay neatly folded on top of a wooden bench, that was located not to far away from where she was. The rain drops felt cold against her skin, but strangely enough she didn’t feel the need to cover herself. Instead she walked barefoot, the soft blades of green grass tickled the soles of her pale feet.
Soojung stretched out high both of her slender arms and opened the palms of her hands as if trying to catch the raindrops. Wide coral lips curved into a wide smile while she closed her eyes and let the rest of her senses take over completely. The pitter patter of the rain, the way the droplets and the grass felt, the smell of the wet earth that invaded her lungs, all of those small things made her feel content. How long had it been since she had last felt like that? Not even she knew the answer.
"It’s nice, isn’t it, Leon?" her voice was merely a whisper while she opened her eyes slowly, to look up at the sky. Finally she let her arms fall to her side, and slowly she laid down on the wet grass. Softly, she started humming a lullaby from the past, a lullaby she loved.

Whining quietly at the warmth that left his side, Ilhoon gazed up at the other and hearing the guess that was spot on he averted his eyes to her shoulder, focusing on the patterns in her blouse as her next scoldings hit his ears, a tone he hadn't quite heard before, especially from her, that if he had been a puppy, his ears would've flattened in reclusive response. The younger didn't even need to nod to confirm her suspicions for her already knew, of course, he couldn't hide such things from her, whether she saw the burn or not, he was almost positive the actions would've been discovered without any verbal or physical revelation. Turning his head to attempt to glance at the nasty burn lining his shoulder blade the male lowered his head giving a firm nod to show he understood and murmuring out. "Got it. I'm sorry...." Possibly the first time he's spoken those words since his change his head hung low a small sting from the wound causing him to wince once more.
( — Had it been anyone else, perhaps the vampire would have let them go without asking any further questions, but the male before him was not someone she could simply push aside in such a way. He was almost like her own child, and the sight of such an injury on his pallid flesh caused her lips to curl down into a frown. Pressing her lips into a thin line once she pulled back, she narrowed her eyes at the male. ) By any chance, did you attempt to go out into the sun? ( — Such a burn could only come from a few things, and sunlight was the first that came to mind. Her brows furrowed in frustration at the actions of the other. Her jaw set at she swiftly responded to his words with a stern tone. ) You don’t ever need to prove anything to anyone again. Got it? Especially no mortal. If they have any inquiries, far too many questions, let their curiosity eat away at them. You needn’t go to such lengths to satisfy their peace of mind. Look what it’s done? It’s going to take a while for that to heal.

"I have really good eyes, trust me." Good was an understatement but he was sure by his tone she could just trust his words, not finding a need to explain. Ilhoon peeked his head out the corner of the overhead letting the sun graze over his head before glancing around and pulling a pea-coat over his body, making sure all his skin was covered he stood from his position on the floor and glanced at her before taking off across the street, he ha to slow down his movements so that his speed wouldn't startle the female but he wouldn't let covering up his speed risk the dreadful sun breaking the barrier he'd put up to block up. Making his way towards the way of the quaint building he moved right under the overhead stripping himself of the jacket once the sun was no longer near him. Such measure were necessary but with a thin smile he gazed over to wait for the female to make her way over, beckoning her over with his hand.
"W-Well. I don’t really know. But I guess you have good eyes so if you say so, maybe there’s a part of truth in it, except if you’re just a smooth talker." She scratched softly her cheek, not really knowing how she could handle that. It wasn’t real big deal, yeah. But you know, she spent the three quarters of her life being shy and hiding from the whole world, so even if she was not like that anymore, old habits die hard, and it was quite difficult to change everything about herself. "Oh, okay, okay. It’s all an adventure to talk with you, gentleman." She laughed but it didn’t lower her surprise. It was the first time she met someone who granted so much importance in staying in the shadow. "You are a weird one." Smiling, she rolled her scarf around the guy’s head, forgetting for a few seconds that he was just a stranger. "You will be even more hidden like this, let’s go."

Perfect. It was almost too easy, like fate was generously giving him a meal for all his troubles. It bothered him, that his mind so frequently took on the instinct of a predator, but there was little he could do to prevent it and instead the male nodded his head listening to the rest of her words with reserved curiosity, that didn't show in his expression. He must admit, her words were just as sweet as her smell, the woman held a sweet aura about her that wasn't just her blood. "Mmm, I'm particularly fond of the night, not only for the roaming, I just like it better I suppose." He gave a shrug not wanting to explain himself and knowing he couldn't." As his gaze fell forward again searching for a proper place to begin his taunt Ilhoon nodded his head to her question. "Not far at all, I think I already know what it is." The irony was perfect, the atmosphere, so deadly, threatening, the female was so unsuspecting, it hurt.
"I don’t believe they’ll be up for quite some time, sadly." A bit curious as to why he would need to know, but shrugging it off as basic mannerism. Her arms folded in front of her chest, as she shot him a look. "Roaming around is fun, you get to go places and I think it’s better at night since there are very little distractions." Nodding her head firmly, in a rather knowing way; she’s not a stranger to being out at ungodly hours of the night, she’s probably seen more in the evening through the night than early in the morning. "Sooner than later, so that means whatever you’re looking to eat isn’t that far then." Jogging until she’s directly next to the male, she scans his features; from his light hair to his pale skin and finally his eyes, a red color that will be ingrained in her memory for a long time, before turning her head and walking beside him quietly.

Recently I couldn't be here because I've been coming home and passing out. Typist has a lot of college things to do during this and maybe the next two months, it'll be easier to catch me on aim and when I have breaks I'll be here but I'm more than willing to roleplay on aim providing I'm not asleep. Anyway, thanks to everyone for being patient. I'll get to replies when I can so bear with me, plots and everything of the sort! I'm really really really sorry I'm taking so long with replies! ; w ;

[/he should've known he wouldn't be able to hide it, in fact he didn't know why he'd even try. The younger certainly didn't appeal to the look of worry that crossed the faces of the woman and sincerely wanted to wipe it away. Those eyes of hers were sharp and it wasn't long, possibly a few seconds until she was removing the cloth from it's concealing position, exposing the burn that had made it's mark upon his porcelain skin. It definitely stood out, grotesque features and all and Ilhoon couldn't even look at it, just a glance sickened him, yet he could stand to stare at a human withering under him, strange. Bending forward just enough for her to gain access a small huff left his cheeks resembling a child getting caught in an act] I....uh.....tried to prove a point to someone, and that was the result.
( — The slightest actions of the younger caught her attention, and the woman’s features contorted into a mask of concern. Shuffling slightly closer to the other so that their crossed legs now touched just at the knees. Rather than speaking soon after he did, her eyes searched his features, attempting to pinpoint what had caused such a motion. It was only when the ruffle of the blanket cut through her vision did her eyes narrow. Reaching out to peel the piece of cloth off his frame, her jaw set at the sight of the burn kissing upon the curve of his shoulder. ) Ilhoon … what happened? ( — Pushing herself up onto her knees, she leaned forward to carefully place a hand on his arm, a safe distance from the wound. Turning his frame with her grip, she attempted to examine the injury further. )

Convenient. "How cute you are." To say the least, what a cutie she was, forgetting her keys at home, what a perfect moment shining down on the young male, as if he really ha a guardian angel that those books talked about, even if he was a damned creature of the night. "How long do you think it'll be before they respond miss?" He needed to know for personal motives of course, if it turned out the latter she waited on was indeed planning on calling back soon then he couldn't have them searching for her in the middle of the night and quite possibly find her. Decisions, decisions. "Roaming about is a bit dangerous don't you think?" Stretching his arms, china pale skin flashing by the moonlight he simply nodded his head. "I would be more than happy for you to accompany me, I'm sure I'll find a snack sooner than later." With a gesture of his head he turned on his heels, waiting for the other to catch up to his side before he would start walking, knowing that he'd be all too tempted by her smell up close.
Her smile still in place as he asked his, obviously rhetorical, question. His red eyes more growing more and more striking by the minute; they were mesmerizing and unnatural but they fit, especially with the confident attitude he was wearing. “The reason I’m out so late?” Leaning forward on the balls of her feet, a habit that has no intention of being broken any time soon, before continuing, “I actually left the keys to my apartmentin my apartment and the only person who has my spare key, isn’t answering their phone.” Eyes casting down, a small pout replacing the smile that was there not too long ago before looking back up at the red eyed male. “So until they wake up, I think for now I’ll just roam about, maybe I could find a store that’s open all night and stay there I suppose. Speaking of stores… would you mind if I accompanied you on your search for your midnight snack Ilhoon?” Her head tilted looking at the figure in front of her, hoping he wouldn’t mind the company.

"A tomato?" Ah, she was referring to the expression her cheeks had taken, a lovely hue of red and purple that the male didn't deny he enjoyed seeing on her features. Such a splendid shade of red. He didn't know how to stop, that was the only issue but he simply nodded as if he understand her words. "My apologies, I didn't mean to continue like that but it is the truth is it not?" It'd be better if he stopped it though, the constant resurfacing of red made his stomach grumble, and by stomach it was mainly the back of his throat, aching for a drink. No he wasn't hungry, he had already established the fact, the younger was merely tempted by the presence of the liquid closer than usual. His head craned to the side, obvious amusement in his orbs at the woman's clear uncomfortable response. Could she perhaps sense something? Maybe. For a moment it seemed that she was catching on, just for a moment. He glanced over at the bar before peeking to see the sky. "We'd have to hustle over there." Fangtasia. Why did the name sound so familiar, oh the irony.
"Oh." The male behaviour was really charming, but being as red as a beetroot wasn’t what Nora liked the most; according to her, there was nothing more ridiculous than not being able to keep one’s self-control. And the crimson purple of her cheeks was its perfect embodiment. "It’s the first time someone tells me this so.. Thank you. But you should stop that, I’m going to turn into a tomato if the conversation goes on like this." She smiled sheepishly and started looking around as she was listening to his words. Really, he was so disturbing. Nora would do anything to unravel the mistery surrounding that guy. But how could she really do that. Maybe was he just one of these Children of the Night? Spending his life in the shadows must have been terrible… No, Nora, no. Daydreaming, again. She sighed for herself and pointed out a bar, on the other side of the street. "Maybe we could go there. Fangtasia, what a wonderful name. Are you able to go there or is it still too far?”
