My second solo show and final show as a bachelor's student opens this coming May!! If you're in Puerto Rico, come by~

Starting the 15th, themes of sexuality, gender and power will dominate the space of the gallery, themes that now more than ever need to be presented to the public uncensored and unabashed. The large scale works challenge the viewer with the rawness of reality and of what it means to be a woman, what it has meant historically, and how these canons have been used and continue to be used by those in power to oppress those they deem as the weaker sex. Using the language of erotic artwork, the paintings function as an almost satirical challenge to the ideals many of those works historically perpetuated.

Las santas vienen por ahí is not just the culmination of my time as a UPR student, but also a glimpse at what my future as an artist may hold. I'd love it more than anything to see you there <3

art vs. artist 2024

Had to choose fairly recent stuff cause genuinely the difference between stuff from early in the year and recent work is a Lot. 2024 wasn't an easy year, lots of very low lows, but artistically it's a year where I experienced a lot of growth. I discovered a lot technique wise, nailed down what themes truly interest me and presented more vulnerability in my work, something that I had never had the courage to do before. I think it was all for the better.

Because of my health I'm unable to produce a large volume of pieces like I once did, but what I do create benefits from having longer stretches of time dedicated to it, to thinking it and feeling it come to life during the process. I think I like it. I don't know, what a year, huh?
