🌜- For a ‘weird’ habit or tic that no one knows about

[[ Hmm.... see, Norman has a lot of weird habits and tics, but usually they're so obvious to people who know him (and sometimes who don't) that this is a little more difficult to specify. OH, I KNOW. HE DRINKS JUST LIKE NORMA DOES. Alcohol, specifically. It's something Norman probably subconsciously picked up over the years of living with her and seeing her drink every once in awhile, but even when he's fully himself, Norman and Norma down liquor in the same way. This would definitely go under habit instead of tic, though. Which Norman does have a lot of, but it's mostly noticeable things like clenching his hands or rolling his neck. BUT YEAH. NORMAN DRINKS LIKE HIS MOTHER, WHEN HE'S NOT MOTHER. IT'S WEIRD AND I LOVE IT. ]]

🍎- For something they secretly wish did exist

[[ Social workers and mental health professionals either on the police force or instead of the police force for many things. Norman doesn't talk about it often considering what a small town White Pine Bay is, and considering just how much the cops are involved with his life at this point, but yeah. He's experienced waaaay too many incidents where men with guns and badges showed up instead of what would've truly helped; someone with experience talking to traumatized and mentally ill people, and/or volatile family situations. Norman may not outright say it, but his brain very often just goes 'acab acab acab acab'. It may or may not also have to do with the fact that Mother dated a crooked cop and then married a different one. That may or may not be a very strong factor in this. ]]

🙃- For a lighter, slightly embarrassing secret

[[ Norman still sleeps with one or two stuffed animals when he's alone and feeling particularly upset or insecure. Throughout his life once he hit 13 or so, Norma would have bouts of thinking it was cute and sweet that he still had a stuffed animal, then infrequently-but-volatilely switch to telling Norman it was immature and a possible reason he's never had a steady girlfriend. He tried to give it up, but never fully got rid of the habit. After awhile of the constant back and forth, Norman resigned to keep his stuffed animals in his closet, and only every held onto them in times of EXTREME distress, and ONLY when he knew he was completely alone.

And yes, he apologizes to them for keeping them hidden away so long every time he takes them out. He's not an absolute monster.]]
