          “CLEARLY you’ve read a book that says you have to compliment someone, especially a female, when they say they have to change because I tell you, that was a good one.” the blonde grins in Rocco’s direction, winking playfully at him as they headed towards his car. Dress to impress, that really seemed like something they should be doing. She didn’t exactly have anyone to impress but she was single so… “You know what, let’s dress to impress. We’ve actually got the night off so let’s enjoy it. Dress to impress. Look like the 10′s that we are. Because we certainly are. And if anyone else says anything to change the fact, they’re clearly LIARS.”

𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀 𝐋𝐀𝐖𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄​

   that sounded pretty nice. topanga would have accepted pretty much anything rana suggested, for she wasn’t particularly fussy, and at least it meant they could get to know each other better. being agreeable would definitely help; topanga was stubborn and confident, she had a strong personality, and she knew it…but she wasn’t looking to clash with anybody, least of all the person she was supposed to be working with. even if rana didn’t want to be her friend, they didn’t have to be rivals. “perfect! let’s say pizza? it’s the perfect study fuel, and it’s just as good if it goes cold.”

was this a break through? was this what rana had been told was wrong for most of her life? that everyone she’d come across was her competition and she had to beat them - but if they weren’t? if there was such thing as team work, and not everything had to have a winner? then she might just be able to enjoy her time in law school after all. if that was the case. there was still doubt in her mind. “cold pizza?” she asked with a raised eyebrow. “is that like, a thing? i’ve never tried it.” maybe there was more to life after all.

The blonde allowed herself to laugh with hands running through the ends of her hair. “Twenty years… Are you sure he was that big of an asshole as a five year old?” She shook her head a moment, wondering to herself if children could actually be assholes that young. Arizona had been a pediatric surgeon for so long, and she had yet to meet a truly awful kid. “Do you think anyone could have made him any better?”

april gave pause for her own thought, before shaking it from her head. what alex karev was like as a child was not something she really wanted to spend too much of her time thinking about. “alex is alex.” she conceded, her shoulders lifting in a shrug with the smallest of smiles on her face. “as much as he’s annoying, i don’t think he’d be anything other than exactly how he is now.”

Agnes frowns for a moment. Had her statement been ominous? Was this what was making him uncomfortable? Frowns alleviate themselves then even a shrug followed. “You don’t need to be worried. Either you do, or you don’t.” A shrug comes to light as if it was just careless, unfelt for. “If this is about the money, I have plenty.” And still, she halts at her very own statement. “You’re really worried that you would need to pay hospital bills? More than.. dying?

"that - doesn’t answer my question as much as i thought it would.” elliot liked to think of himself as quite a laid back guy, but he supposed there was always going to be something at some point that might set him on edge. apparently, the uncertainty of this was the thing that had been the trick. “have you seen how much these stays can cost? i barely have enough money to keep the lights on, let alone pay out those bills. i had a friend who broke his leg - came out with four grand worth of debt. he wasn’t even in there for four hours!”
